Story had a good flow, but lacked details and it made the story incomplete. Questions remain, like who were the big guys and why they needed to launder money? Was it a drug ring or maybe prostitution ? The love relationship between Sophie and Santigo Was disjointed. It wasn't clear if they conquered their personal fears, despite their agreeing to get married. Will Santigo really accept Sophie career in law enforcement ?
They had a great sex,...but where was the love? I have read all of the books written by Ms Washington and this one only rate

Well written but more of a suspense /romance. I would have wanted more romance between the couple at the same time I'm looking forward to the sister story.

This book reads more like a mystery novel as opposed to a romance novel. The couple's relationship takes a back seat to the heroine's police case.

The lack of intimacy makes the book feel like you're listening to a story someone relates to you over lunch or dinner, or reading a newspaper article. If you like that style of writing, you will like this book. It was a disconnect for me as it didn't engage any emotions whatsoever.

Storyline was okay. However, the constant shortening of all of the characters names was very annoying. How does Sophia become Soap or Soapy, not very romantic
