About the Author

AlTonya Washington has been a published romance novelist for 6 years. Her novel Finding Love Again won the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Multicultural Romance 2004. In July 2008, the South Carolina native released her twelfth novel A Lover's Worth. August 2009 marked the release of her thirteenth and fourteenth novels: Rival's Desire and Passion's Furies. In addition to teaching a community college course entitled Writing the Romance Novel she works as a Senior Library Assistant and resides in North Carolina. AlTonya will release her fifteenth novel Hudson's Crossing in March 2009. In March 2009, AlTonya- writing as T. Onyx- released an electronic version of her debut erotica title Truth In Sensuality. In August 2009 she will release her debut audio title Another Love and the final installment in her Ramsey series A Lover's Soul. Her latest release with the Harlequin/Kimani label is the July 2010 release "As Good As The First Time."

AlTonya Washington has been an author for over 20 years. Traditional, indie, and scholarly published, she's won the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award, and is a two-time winner of The Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award.

She's a Librarian and enjoys writing in genres such as Historical, Fantasy Romance, and Interracial Romantic Suspense. Her pen names include Ally Fleming, T. Onyx, and Temple Carver. She's best known for her long-running Ramsey/Tesano multicultural romantic suspense series. In 2024, she started a new Novella series entitled "Not By Blood."

    This is a great book of short stories that answers a lot of questions that everyone had about how the Ramsey Men meet and fall in love with the woman we have met throughout the series. I loved the stories that showed us where there problems first began and how they fell in love. After reading this book I'm really looking forward to reading about the Ramsey woman and the Tesano Men.

    I enjoyed being able to get a backdrop of the beginnings for each couple. But the typos were driving me crazy though. And I took into consideration of the fact that I only paid 2 bucks and change for this edition. Overall it was a good read! Can not wait for the other book to come out in March!!

    Altonya Washington is one of my favorite authors and I have enjoyed all her books. The characters of her series of Ramsey books are well developed and intriguing and I am sure the Tesano series will be great as well. However, what's the deal with the "short" stories for a full story price? I am getting tired of paying exorbitant prices for books with incomplete stories that can be read in about an hour. Ms. Washington please go back to writing the books that made your fans fall in love with your books to begin with.
