When Sabella Tesano walked away from her husband Isak, their lives headed down twin paths of darkness. Sabella's shame over a horrific discovery wreaked havoc on her mind and body. The darkness in Isak's life had manifested in a more sinister fashion. He was no longer the even tempered peacemaker of his volatile family. While Sabella blamed herself for his brutal transformation, she believed he was better off away from her maybe...hating her.
Isak however, harbored no such feelings. In his mind, Sabella was still his wife and he had every intention of getting her back. Explanations would be required and Belle knew she could never share what she'd learned about herself and the ugly truth of her existence.

    Wow what can I say except that this story was so much more than I ever expected, but was glad to read it. The love Pike has for Bella is a love all of us should want and have in our lifetime.
    Bella as well as her mother Carmen found out the hard way how secrets can devastate your life. If you have someone who loves and cherish you,then you should be able to open up to them about anything and trust that they'll be there for you to lean on.
    Pike was beyond devastated when Belle left him without an explanation as to why. Instead of fighting for their love, he let her go, which sent him to a dark place. I'm so glad that he decided that no matter what it took, he was going to break down the walls that Belle had erected around her heart and prove to her that their love was worth fighting for and he wasn't going anywhere this time.

    I was a little uncertain about starting the Ramsey/Tesano series because I loved the Ramsey series so much, I thought there's no way I will even be able to enjoy this spin off. I WAS SO WRONG! I lives it! I can't wait to read more. The way Isak loves Bella is the kind of love I think we are all looking for and AlTonya did an amazing job of portraying that. I literally finished this book in a day and I am ready to start the next one like right now!

    I've read this book many times and decided to finally write a review. Belle and Isak are one if my favorite couple stories in the Ramsey/ Tesano saga. This is the first time, I actually felt the pain of loss and the elation of redemption in one book. Isak had a connection and love for Bella from first introduction and he has never wavered. His commitment and utter devotion is both envied and heartbreaking. While we may understand Belle's reason for leaving Pike, she could never have known how devastated he would be because of it. Watching him find out her secrets and still love her was beautiful. Belle is definitely a lucky woman.

    Once you read this book, you'll re-read it many times, just because you live Belle and Isak.

    OMG, this book was amazing. I don't even know where to start. I love, love, love Pike and Belle. After reading the Origins book, I knew their story would be amazing. At first Quay and Tyke were my favorite couple...then Fernando and County...then Taurus and Nile...now it's definitely Pike and Belle. I'm still going back and reading my favorite parts. Carmen and Jasper finally back together and making Marcus pay...what more could you ask for in a book? Ms. Washington is an amazingly gifted writer, definitely one of my favorites. Now, I just can't wait for Sabra and Smoak's story. I think their story is going to beat all.

    I have been waiting to learn more about the Ramsey cousins and this story gave me more than I expected. I was excited to get caught up in the complexity of the Tesano men and the women they love. However, the Ramsey women SHINE in this. If you remember the youngest Ramsey child from Scandal, then you will enjoy her evolution in this story. I can't give away the biggest secret in this story, but somebody we all love to hate will definitely get his- and it will be slow and painful.
