- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2015In this book We meet Frank the zombie, ex-surgeon, the husband of "Patient Zero",an evolving Zombie and a unique POV.("Oh Crap!") Darleen & John finally get together. The small group of survivors start to notice, some very subtle changes with some of the undead. This small group of survivors are slowly dwindling, some are taking off on their own in the middle of the night and taking part of what little provisions are left with them when they go.More than one member of this small group of survivors are begging to question the validity in the desire to stay alive in a world where a safe haven is just a myth. Each day they must fight to stay alive. Supplies are few and each time they send a team out to search for food there is no certainty that they will return. They also believe there must be another group of survivors close, the number of infected out to kill them at every turn are decreasing and someone is piling up the carcases of the dead again on the highway.
Mr.Armand Rosamilia, has created a world that few could begin to imagine. The characters have great depth and personality. He describes this world in such detail you can see it clearly in your mind.
I went between the Ebook and Audiobook. Amanda M Lehman does a wonderful job with the voices and the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2016When I first started reading the Dying Days series, I wasn't impressed much. Obviously enough to buy the next book, and this one, and I'm glad I did! They're getting much better and far more interesting. Which is a first. Usually in my (extensive) experience in reading post apocalyptic indie series, they either remain at the same level as the first book, or get worse, so I am happily surprised!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2023This series just jeeps getting more intense. From newfound love to tragedy in mere moments, Armand Rosamilia has it all rolling at the pace of NASCAR. I cannot say enough how invested I am in this sereis. Housework, what's that? I have the next book in the series to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2013I said it before, and I'll say it again, Armand Rosamilia is one funny bastard! Each time I read another of his books I'm surprised that it just gets better. He manages to capture the genre perfectly. The funny is spot on, the horror is ghastly.
The entire Dying Days series is worth adding to your collection. Dying Days 3, like its predecessors is so much more than just a simple zombie tale. Darlene Bobich, all around badass chick fights off everything but the kitchen sink! When I grow up, I want to be Darlene! Okay, maybe not the black thong. I'm not a fan of wedgies.
I wont spoil the book by telling you about the specifics because it's worth discovering on your own. But let me just say...holy twist Batman!! Gotta love a zombie with a God complex. Now there's something you don't see everyday.
Rosamilia hits it out of the park with Dying Days 3. The ending has left me salivating for more. Oh ya, and looking for a new place to live. He's scared me away from Florida!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2013I love zombie novels, and novels featuring tough women who don't put ut with nonsense. This novel has both. There are more swer words than I like, but you have to expect that when zombies are trying to eat you. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a five star rating is that I think the idea of zombies trying to rape the living is just sick. Other than that, a good zombie book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2019Now that I may talk about the twist (since, presumably you read the first two) I have to say, I find it intriguing. The first audiobook I ever narrated had zombies who had regained their intellect so it isn't new to me. Armand takes it a step further, however as they aren't just getting their minds back but are, in some ways, far more than they were.
This is definitely a series I'm going to finish.
Highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021This novel the third in the series is yet again a fast paced action packed follow up. Try the series
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2016Things are getting crazy in Florida. Not that it takes a zombie apocalypse to make Florida a crazy place, but that's neither here nor there. The Zombie Killer, our heroin from the first two books, continues a pretty epic journey of survival and discovery. And there are a few...twists...in store for zombie lovers.

5.0 out of 5 stars You really have to buy these books
A further immersion into the world of Darlene: really do not know where Armand finds the level of weirdness that he captures in these books. The Zombies are weird, the local, the main and side characters are almost weirder but saying that their very weirdness makes them more human and more lovable.
If you like Zombies, laughs, horror and a tad of religion this is a must buy series

4.0 out of 5 stars another great chapter!
(spoiler alerts)
Darlene is back and she is the same hard shelled, soft centered, take no nonsense, body obsessed heroine; I can't help but love her, even when she is prattling on about her thongs!
The Flagler beach survival group has a new threat looming; who is killing all the zombies and stacking them under the pier?
Will the Lich's plans come to anything?
AR brings a new element and twist to the series - Frank is a zombie but he has become self aware, and he his not the only one. I can't think of a worse scenario for all involved, although Frank and the Lich seem to be liking it.
I really enjoy this series of zombie books as there are no big sub plots or lots of different groups to keep track off, its very much here and now, and in your face, usually with a big fat tongue in cheek dose of humour. There are still the intense emotions, some wild sex and gore laden fights but it's much more a "Bmovie" style novel, and I love that.
However, don't let that comment fool you into thinking the characters are wooden or 2 dimensional, far from it, Bri's little lack of prom rant was actually quite upsetting when you think of all that would be lost in an apocalypse and the deaths are heartbreaking as AR keeps you very focused on the survivors.
The zombies are very real, if a little warped. AR seems to take total delight in being as freaky as possible. He also manages to make his little ragtag survivor group very real without any military training and inclusive of young girls and old men, not necessarily who you would pick to aid you in a zombie fight but wow they make a mean drinking and movie watching bunch and shouldn't survival be worth living, at least a bit of it.
This series is really starting to hot up on the weirdness front and strays far, far, FAR from the purist ideals of zombies - but good! AR is a talented writer (try his other, non zombie novels/novellas/shorts) if these zoms are not to your liking!

Man Armand you just keep giving Darlene so much to handle one day it'll be too much I hope not anyway this is a great series and you should all read it in order

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor series
I enjoy the flow of this book, you go from one crisis to another. As Zombie books go its very good, but there has to be more to any book that stating with a caste of thousands and bringing it down to single digits! I won't be going further with this serious I am stranded like the plot in the Euro complex. Just got to be more to a book than this.
