Ok, I'm sitting hear, sinues bursting with pressure, my hot tea and tissues at my side...Alright, I lied, green tea cuz I'm to lazy to brew my own. Anyways, I bought Dying Days 2 about 1.5hrs ago and cuddled up to my evo with my kindle app (I'll be honest: I'm a Nook Girl); not putting it down until completion. I was tempted to wait until I could breath and not snot on my keyboard but oh well...that's why they make sanitizing gel and wipes ;) Anyways down to business. I am in no ways accustomed to writing reviews.
In my life, have i only ever reviewed on thing: a Lizzy Borden show/concert ([...]). Alright, I'm getting sidetracked. For those not familiar with Armand, he is an exquisite author with a style unique to himself. Armand brought Darlene Bobick to life in Darlene Bobich: Zombie Killer and continued her tale in Dying Days...he allows readers to follow her trials and tribuations throughout her survival in a postapocolytic zombie filled world. I was immediately drawn in. I cried with her, felt her pain/suffering, and even laughed when the moment condoned it. Really I donot know how to review without giving away the raw, on the edge, struggle from page to page as to whether our heroine would survive or meet an untimely demise. The reader is introduced to many kinds of characters. Those with the will to survive, band together, or turn on their own - Each with their set of standards, ways of thinking, and what they deem right/wrong. Yet, as the reader delves deeper into the world of Armand Rosamilia, one has to wonder. Who is more humane - The unthinking flesh eating ravaged would be zombies searching for what they need to sustain life, or those of us that still meander the ravaged streets that we once knew surrounded with those around use that would willingly give into the more darker urges in life. The journey through this destructive world captures the journey of people such as you and I attempting to maintain what shreds of humanity still reside in their soul...and others which choose to wholly disconnect.

Armand Rosamilia ramps up his signature zombie series in DYING DAYS 2. It's everything you've come to expect from protagonist Darlene Bobitch with amped up action.
The cast of characters expands a bit this go around. You know what that means, a lot of who will stay and who will carry on. The constant threat of death and a 'no one is safe' undertone that is essential to any zombie story. Rosamilia does not disappoint with memorable, well developed characters that you can identify with on some level.
Let's not forget the zombies. Though they always play second fiddle in DYING DAYS, they continue to develop within the story line. They are not your run of the mill Romero zombies.
If you got on for DYING DAYS, get right back on the ride for part 2. If you haven't got on then go back to part 1 and join Team Rosamilia. Armand Rosamilia writes badass zombie horror at a price everyone can devour!

Armand Rosmilia has a terrific writing style. His characters are real and the world he has developed is outstanding. When he describes the smells of the zompoc the reader can actually smell it. I have been in the area he is writing about, so I can even visualize the area.
I hope he keeps this up.

A serious follow-up on the first in the series, expanding the world and characters a lot. If you like zombies and want quality writing on every level, you can't miss the Dying Days series...I've read a lot of zombie fiction, and this stuff is honestly way above the bar.

Fast and fun like the first book but with an added twist thrown in. Again, my only complaint would be the length of the book. It is too short. So, onto book 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars he's done it again
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 3, 2013
Armand has done it again, and created realistic and likeable characters and dropped them into a messed up post-apocalyptic world, where there are more things to fear than just the dead. Though you definitely should fear them...seriously! It's nice to see how Darlene is changing and growing, and that she's surviving...so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Okay... Not high literature, but certainly entertaining
Reviewed in Canada on January 15, 2018
These "books" are really novellas, so quite short and can be read in two or three hours each. They're light entertainment, even for the genre. And the editing us well done, stories are consistent, and characters, while not deep, at least have some development. Worth the 3 or 4 bucks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Darlene Bobich does it again.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 12, 2012
Dying Days has quite a body count, but no real formatting issues. The text is well laid out and easy to read. There is some bad language but this really didn't bother me. Lots of punchy dialogue and descriptive use of language keeps a break neck pace from beginning to end. The characters are quite well drawn. They fight and they die - sometimes messily, and in inventive ways.

There is an interesting plot development here - potentially deadly for Darlene Bobich and a dwindling group of survivors. The zombie hoardes show the mindless, brain hungry behaviour typical of the genre, but there is a twist.

Darlene also has a few people on her hit list. She is out for revenge and doesn't care how many undead she has to put down to get it.
