4.6 out of 5 stars 89 ratings

The fourth in the "Dying Days" series...

"Level up with Rosamilia's take on smarter, scarier zombies! They don't sleep and neither will you. Read this now!" ~ Robert Chazz Chute, author of This Plague of Days

"Armand Rosamilia has masterly crafted a unique zombie book with many moving parts. Dying Days 4 should be on every zombie fanatics TBR list" ~ Mark Tufo, author of the Zombie Fallout series

"With Dying Days 4, Armand Rosamilia continues to carve his own glorious path through the zombie apocalypse. His unique blend of sex and violence, well-rendered melancholy and tough as nails, pedal to the metal can do attitude makes for a story that gets it all just right. Rosamilia is a bright light for a dark country, and one of a handful of writers I know I can turn to when I want to have the crap scared out of me. He's that good" ~ Joe McKinney, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Dead City and Plague of the Undead

And down will come Baby, cradle and all!!
5 out of 5 stars
And down will come Baby, cradle and all!!
Mr Rosamilia has done it again!! In this 4th installment of the Dying Days collection we follow Darlene Bobich and John through the zombie filled wasteland. Oh btw Darlene is special! How special? I can't tell you. But every zombie is hunting for her and... Her baby!! In this segment you'll meet all sorts of characters and catch up with ones f on the previous books. The zombies are getting smarter and their leader the Lich King is amassing an army. Where is Armand taking this? You have to read it to find out!! The literary ride to get here has been amazing and this installment doesn't disappoint. The characters are really thought out and I was encased in the storyline and didn't want it to end. I'm definitely looking forward to finding out what happens next. As always the adult theme is ever present and alive in this book. It's not for the faint of heart. I bought this on my Nook but wanted to get my review out there.

This is the first, but not the last Armand Rosamilia book I will read. It's a completely different take on zombies, and I know you probably hear that a lot, but this really is. It's a fast-paced, quick read that really pulls you through the story. I finished it over the course of two nights, and really, really enjoyed it. Aside from the obvious scare and gores with the zombies, which Armand handles expertly, the dialog is fantastic...really, really good...and funny. The characters are real and you really do root for them along the way. I love that the main character is a woman, and that the zombies are...well...a little more developed than your average zombies. I'm definitely going back now to read the others in this series. Highly recommended!

Number four in the Dying Days saga and AR does not disappoint with his zombies becoming weirder!

Not only are ARs zombies eating and raping people now they are thinking, plotting, ambushing, arming themselves and usually more funny when they talk than most comedians.

But it’s not just humans they are hunting, some want the other “new” zombies dead too, and to rule over humankind!

Poor pregnant Darlene, her love John and his dad, Murph, are still on the run after the stilt houses were burnt to the sea.

Jeff and Russ are still side hands to the Lich Lord who has all sorts of nastiness planned but in a god like fashion. Yes, it’s “safe” living under his rule but at what cost? Blood…. For he has certainly evolved again, but into what.

Doug and Ernie (aka the Cowboy!) reminded me of Statler and Waldorf (you remember, the Muppets!), their storyline is very satisfying.

Whilst every group seems to be focused on finding Darlene and her baby, the gore, dark humour and plot lines progress really well in the rotating fashion that sees each group from differing angles.

There is one or two passages in the book that really made me want to turn veggie. AR has certainly nailed current society does to a tee in this book via the “intelligent” zombie practices, observations, plans and rants. It’s quite grotesque.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to no.5 – which is on pre order NOW!

I have become a big fan of Armand Rosamilia, but he has turned it up an notch in Dying Days 4! I am not going
to give you all the details as you need to download and read this book for yourself, but when the Zombies
start becoming smarter than the living humans, you know it's not going to turn out pretty! Besides being
smart, I really like the humor that Armand has given some of the Zombies to display. It's a great book and action from start to end.
Also in Dying Days 4, he is setting up in my opinion other series that might breakout and be separate from Dying Days, which
means he has some really great characters and that is in addition to Darlene Bobich, the Zombie Killer! Everyone jump on board
the Rosamilia train, it's going to be a "Hale" of a ride! Enjoy!

Armand Rosamilia has written one hell of a series. I lost sleep last night ( it is now 5:00am) just to read this one. I haven't done that in a long time.
NIW all I can patiently wait to start the next book in the series.

As a reviewer, it's the rare occasion that I get the opportunity to read for just pleasure. However, I started the Dying Days series before I began reviewing and it is just something I can't pass up when I see Armand has released a new meal for readers to gobble up.

Darlene Bobich has long been a character I could relate to. I'm a sucker for a snarky, inappropriate female personality in my literature, and she has always delivered some good laughs. Her role in Dying Days 4 is much less the center stage it has been in previous books, and the author has made way for other characters to dominate. I'm good with this, because it's another female rivaling Darlene's bitchiness.

The two female characters butt heads through the book, which makes for some interesting conflict. Darlene is pregnant and ready to pop, and on the run with now-hubby John and his dad, Murph.

Armand's zombies have drastically evolved from the mindless masses introduced in book one. They are now smarter than most survivors, can strategize to ambush, and have the capacity to use weapons. That, my friends, is a scary combo for a zombie, and one I never hope to meet!

I'm glad Armand has given us new people to play with...even though he took some away throughout...and hope Darlene takes over again in future releases. That's not to say Tosha wasn't entertaining, but for me as a reader, it's Darlene that I'm attached to.

There are some minor editing snafus, but nothing major enough to affect my reading experience or the rating I feel the book deserves. Creativity, overall reading experience, and character progression earns Dying Days 4 a 5 star rating from The Bookie Monster

Dying Days is like a good, undead wine, sans the floating eyeballs in the bottle. Each book gets longer, better, and more interesting, and that's crazy as hell since the first three were already on my high-list of zombie fiction. Some new ideas in here, with some very different slants on zombies, while at the same time still giving us our favorite dumb-shufflers a la Romero. But with some crafty stuff Armand has pulled here, we can have both Romero zombies, and something much worse at the same time.

Unlike any other zombie series I have previously read. This has a fascinating (and even more horrifying!) twist that I had never thought of and thus was shocking to me. It takes a cool twist like this to shock me. I highly recommend this series, and I believe there are more adventures to come for our core cast of characters. I know I'll stay tuned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really - A must read if you like your Z'ds weird and wonderful

The latest in the series for Darlene and her ever changing crew.
The story moves on, side characters are built up with them coming more to the forefront. This allows the weirder situation Darlene has managed to get herself into take a back seat to simmer before 'exploding' near the end of the book, with - yup another weird twist.
This guy - really! Where he gets the inspiration to come up with this level of weirdness I worry for his family but as a reader I am truly thankful for him
