Scarlett Laurent has cancer again, and it doesn't look good this time. As her time runs out, she must find someone to take care of her eight-year-old son, Tyler. On a trip to France to see her father, she learns more secrets that had been kept from her, including another one involving Jackson. Can she trust him after deceiving her twice? Luke and Jen Callaway are back from their honeymoon, and Luke gets the opportunity to make his dreams of being a musician come true. Meanwhile, Jen misses him like crazy and worries about him falling back into his old bad habits. Luke’s daughter Cassie and her boyfriend Skyler encounter some strange events and suspect that Jackson, the angel of death, is messing with them again. One encounter in particular will change Cassie in a major way. Can Skyler overcome his limitations of being human in order to help her?

​Cheryl R. Lane was born and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee, and went to college at East Tennessee State University before marrying her high school sweetheart and moving to Virginia Beach, Virginia. She started writing as a hobby when she was in college after purchasing a couple of Southern Heritage cookbooks, which were filled with pages of beautiful old plantation homes. She used to sit outside in her backyard and type on a manual typewriter at a picnic table under tall maple trees.  She continued writing after moving to Virginia Beach and visiting beautifully restored homes in Williamsburg as well as plantations on the James River. Her day job has been working as a medical transcriptionist for 30 years and now as a legal transcriptionist while writing on the side. She finally decided to self-publish her first book in December 2012, and she enjoys the freedom and creativity of self-publishing.  She loves being outside in nature and her hobbies include visiting historical homes and gardens, reading, traveling, and exercising.  She is still married to her sweetheart after 30 years, and they have one son.     Sunrise Kisses is a wonderful story. We always think that there’s someone that watches over us, and in this story proves it. Cassie loves Skyler, but there’s always something different about him. Then things get even weirder as there’s a second Skyler, and Cassie learns more of what it’s like for a human to love an angel. Skyler will do anything to be by Cassie‘s side. Cassie and Skyler’s story is only part of the book. There is also more about Jen and Luke and their second chance at happiness. Beautiful story and amazing characters.

    Book Two in the Angel Series is a love story not of this world! A great read which lets you escape into fantasy as angels fall in love with the people they are guardians of. One of the continuing characters Cassie and her guardian angel Skyler fall in love, which shows that even angelic love stories are not without strife. Another twist of characters is Scarlett, who has terminal cancer. Scarlett's angel of death Jackson falls in love with her, leading to Jackson showing her that their love has no earthly limitations. The characters Luke and Jen also continue in this book and show that true love can endure the ups and downs of life. This book reminds us that love has no boundaries and I highly recommend it!

    This was such a well written book. I enjoyed every minute of this story. The characters seemed so real to me that I had very difficult time putting it down to do other things. Please take time to read this wonderful story.
