The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci: A Breathtaking and Riveting Time Travel Historical Novel (Out of Time Thriller Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
Three destinies, three timeless loves, and one remarkable painting. Will her visions lead her to the truth?
Art historian Angela Renatus is haunted by dreams of Leonardo da Vinci and a mysterious painting of Giuliano Medici and his mistress Fioretta Gorini. A painting that, as far as the world knows, doesn't exist. Compelled by her visions, Angela is determined to find out the truth.
When Angela is contacted by art detective Alex Caine, she's shocked to learn that he too is seeking the same painting. Alex's client, a wealthy German financier, is determined to clear the name of his late uncle, Gerhard Jaeger, an art historian, who went missing in Florence, during World War II. In letters written before his disappearance, the historian describes his love affair with a beautiful young Italian woman named Sophia Caro and the discovery of an extraordinary painting by the great master himself-a painting depicting Giuliano and Fioretta. Angela and Alex journey to Florence in search of the priceless treasure. Is it a lost da Vinci, potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars, or a wild goose chase that will only lead to a dead end?
But someone else is searching for the elusive painting-Alberto Scordato is a powerful man in the art world and a sociopath who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even murder. Scordato knows something about Angela that even she doesn't know, something that could threaten both Angela and Alex's lives, forcing them into the crosshairs of fate.
The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci is a breathless love story that blends an edge-of-your-seat thriller with a time travel adventure.
Please note: This novel contains scenes of sensuality.

Review
This book is so unique in its approach to time travel. It is done with such a deft hand that the reader is pulled into the story immediately. This combination of mystery, thriller, romance, paranormal, and historical should be a confusing mess, but it is brilliant. If Dan Brown and Diana Gabaldon had a book love child, this would be the gifted and talented version of that child. If this is the first in this series, I can't wait to see what Belle Ami does with the rest!
The Romance Reviews Book Review by Gabrielle Sally (author, reviewer)Jun 22, 2018 [ OFFICIAL REVIEW ]5 out of 5-Stars1 people found the following review helpfulWhen there's a love that spans the ages, it's easy to get swept up into the majestic backdrops of some of the most amazing periods in history.
"Art historian Angela Renatus is haunted by dreams of Leonardo da Vinci and a mysterious painting of Giuliano Medici and his mistress Fioretta Gorini. A painting that, as far as the world knows, doesn't exist. Compelled by her visions, Angela is determined to find out the truth."
And that was enough to capture my interest in Belle Ami's THE GIRL WHO KNEW DA VINCI as I was swept into the saga that spanned centuries.
Likes: Wow, where to begin. As someone who grew up in Southern California and had visited the Getty Museum numerous times, I was tickled that part of the story took place there. I loved, loved, loved the security footage of both Angela and Alex at the Getty (spoiler alert, so not saying more). And, of course, the actual flashbacks were rich with historical detail making me feel as though I was actually there. Then there are the suspense elements, where Angela and Alex work to solve the mystery of the missing da Vinci, which are really well done. I might be redundant in pointing out that Ms. Ami does an AMAZING job with the richness of details in her storytelling. There is the ever-pressing worry that this couple is "on a collision course and history intends to repeat itself." But then, Alex comments that "Maybe this is all a cosmic trap and you and I are just pawns." But you'll have to read the story to find out which answer is true but worry not, it's fabulous.****Reviewed by Eeva Lancaster for Readers' Favorite Book Reviews
In The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci by Belle Ami, Angela Renatus is an art historian plagued with dreams about Leonardo Da Vinci, Giuliano Medici and his mistress, Fioretta Gorini. When the dreams become more vivid, she starts to wonder if they are really dreams. Angela's life is not working out as planned. What was supposed to be a promising start to her career -- an internship at the Getty Museum -- is not the dream job she envisioned for herself. The museum director is less than a gentleman and Angela has to fend off his advances. Meanwhile, art detective Alex Caine contacts her about a missing painting ... by Leonardo Da Vinci. Is it a coincidence? Is it destiny? The mystery goes deeper. If a painting by Da Vinci is discovered today, it will be worth millions. Enough money to kill for. Angela and Alex embark on a journey to discover if the painting really exists. What they discover is so much more than they ever imagined.
The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci is a paranormal, romantic, erotic, historical suspense story with reincarnation at its core. Well-written and fast-paced, the story gripped me from page one. The author skillfully shifts from the present to different time periods, and I enjoyed being given a more intimate glimpse of the different characters. I found the concept original and intriguing and coupled with the author's excellent writing skills, I found the book hard to put down. The mystery was fascinating and the reincarnation aspect made it more so to me, as someone who's interested in this phenomena. The author, Belle Ami, did not disappoint. I loved the historical and romantic aspect most of all. For readers who love history, art, romance and the paranormal, I highly recommend this book.

About the author

I'm Belle Ami, and if you're reading this bio, then you may be a lover of historical fiction, historical romance, time travel thrillers with romantic elements, and romantic suspense because that's my passion, and that's what I write. I'm a #1 Amazon bestseller of THE GIRL WHO KNEW DA VINCI, THE GIRL WHO LOVED CARAVAGGIO, & THE GIRL WHO ADORED REMBRANDT - Books 1, 2, and 3 in the compelling OUT OF TIME SERIES—art thrillers with a time-travel twist.
Be sure to pick up a copy of my brand new historical fiction novel MONA LISA'S DAUGHTER, I believe this is my best book to date. A truly unique look at the maestro Leonardo da Vinci!
Historical Romance is a genre I've just begun to write, and I love it! My publisher, Dragonblade, is the cat's meow when it comes to historical romance. There is no publisher better or more supportive. My release of LUCK OF THE LYON (Lyon's Den Series) is quite a romp filled with challenges for my star-crossed lovers. I'm stoked to hear from my readers what they think of this new addition to my oeuvre. Be sure to drop me a note and let me know how you enjoy this book, because there are more historical romances coming!
My latest bestseller—a book set in World War II Poland and Germany—is titled THE LAST DAUGHTER. It is a completely revised and rewritten version of my very first book: IN THE FACE OF EVIL. The story was inspired by the life of my beloved and courageous mother, Dina Frydman Balbien, who was one of the youngest survivors of the Holocaust. Dina will turn 95 on June 20, 2024, and I cannot tell you how emotional I am that she is able to read this book. Thank you for making THE LAST DAUGHTER a #1 Amazon Bestseller since its release in June 2021.
I'm very excited about my new series, LOST IN TIME. Three time-travel adventures, LONDON TIME, PARIS TIME, and TUSCAN TIME. Take a trip to Victorian London and then Belle Epoque Paris, where murder and intrigue keep my heroines on their toes. The last adventure takes place in 1902 in the magnificent countryside of Tuscany.
I'm also very proud that THE GIRL WHO LOVED CARAVAGGIO is the Silver Medal Runner up in the 2020 RONE Awards and the winner of The Book Excellence Award. THE GIRL WHO KNEW DA VINCI is the winner of the 2019 RAVEN Award and is a 2018 Finalist of the Readers' Favorite Awards. THE GIRL WHO ADORED REMBRANDT is the Finalist for the 2021 Book Excellence Award and a 2021 RONE Award Finalist.
My romantic thriller series TIP OF THE SPEAR introduces my sexy Mossad hero in a trio of international thriller novels with romantic elements: ESCAPE, VENGEANCE, RANSOM, EXPOSED. I'm also a 2018 RONE Award finalist for ESCAPE. VENGEANCE is also the Gold Medal Winner of the 2019 Readers' Favorite Awards for Espionage Thriller.
My first novel was a finalist for a major book award and launched my writing career and I haven't slowed down since.
When I'm not working on my next book, you'll find me in the kitchen whipping up something delicious for my family to enjoy. In addition to gourmet cooking, my passions include playing classical piano, kick-boxing, skiing, and travel. I call Southern California home.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2019Carefully planned and beautifully executed work of fiction, The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci captivated me from the very first chapter. The center of the intrigue is a mysterious painting by Leonardo da Vinci. The author introduces the reader to an impressive cast of characters: Sophia Caro who works in the Gallery of Uffizi and Gerhard Jaeger, a German history professor; Fioretta, a stunningly beautiful girl and Guiliano Medici, the brother of the famous Da Vinci’s patron, Lorenzo Medici; Angela Renatus, an art intern in Getty Gallery, and Alex Caine, the former Navy Seals and now an investigator for the lost art, which has to be returned to their lawful owners. And of course, the most versatile talent of the Italian Renaissance. These characters are irrevocably bound to each other and to figure out how, one has to read this exceptional story, which is full of mystery and suspense, growing tension, twists and turns. At some point, the painting disappears (I won’t give away any spoilers here).
The historical facts are seamlessly woven into this fictional tale, convincingly written in terms of historical background.
Weaving in and out of different timeframes with astounding fluidity, the narrative alternates between Italy and USA, taking the reader now to 1475, now to 1944, then 2018 through the first unexplainable, seesawing from the past to the present dreams, which overwhelm and exhaust Angela, complicating her everyday life. And she is one-on-one with these dreams until she meets Alex. As though it was not enough to make her life miserable, more complications arise, which materialize in Angela’s boss, the Getty Gallery director, Alberto Scordato, and his cousin, Enrico Fortuna. The collision is inevitable: all parties have their own motives to find the mysterious painting. Much is at stake. For some players, it’s their future wealth. For some—life.
I can’t help but compliment Belle Ami’s voice and style, which I have found perfect for the story like this. The narrative flows easily expressed in the elegant prose. The author draws scenes I will never forget.
Fiorella’s friendship with Leonardo da Vinci is pure and touching in its simplicity, adding a special charm to the tale.
The story is not without scenes of a beautiful and steaming romance between Angela and Alex. Read the book to find out how special they are.
The book will take you to the world of art guided by the author’s expertly picked up details. You’ll stroll with the main characters along Florence, Montefioralle, and Rome, enjoying beautiful descriptions of its sumptuous architecture. Can’t help but express my surprise by how knowingly the author interweaves into the narrative the professional terms. This increased the book’s appeal for me. After reading the book, I felt like I’ve been there at all the times and places captured.
A warning: Don’t read the book in case you are hungry! You’ll remember my words when you discover how lavishly the author describes her characters’ dining and Italian cuisine with its tastes and smells.
I highly recommend this book to lovers of historical fiction and mystery with a time-travel twist.

True love is supposed to exist but everything can change in a flash. In this book, Angela Rentus an Art Historian who works at the Getty museum dreams about a lost painting. All throughout the book Angela see’s two women, Sophia Caro and Fioretta Gorini, who have once seen the painting. Angela believes that the two women are connected to her past lives. Mystery intertwines this book with a little romance. Angela ends up meeting an art detective, named Alex Caine, going after the same painting for a man named Max Jaeger so that he can clear his uncles name, Genhard Jaeger, who went missing during World War II, after sending letters to his mother about the painting. Angela’s dreams and visions take a beating on her body and mind. As she dreams, she is met back in the 15th century as Fioretta Gorini, who is Leonardo Da Vinci’s best friend and muse. A secret wedding is taken place and Fioretta and Giuliano get married as de vici makes the painting that everyone is looking for.
I enjoyed the thrilling aspects of The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci and couldn’t stop turning the pages. I couldn’t shut the book and when I did I wanted to crack it back open and read more about what was going to happen. This book kept me sucked it and holding my breath. I wanted to know what was going to happen, specifically, if Angela and Alex were going to find the painting. What I enjoyed about Alex’s character was that he was caring and kind and as for Angela’s character, I liked how she knew what was going to happen before Alex. Ami’s aspect of finding a Da Vinci painting seemed so real and had me thinking more on the topic. This particular aspect of the book reminds me of Dan Brown’s book called The Da Vinci code and I think that’s why I enjoyed this book a lot.
I normally don’t gravitate toward reading adult books and I did not like the romantic scenes in the book. The aspect that I have the most problem with is that the plot was too slow. At some parts I had to re-read to fully understand what was going on. In all honesty, I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would. In the middle of the book I got confused with some of the transitions of the scenes. I did not like the sexual scenes and romance aspect, as this is my first adult book.
I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars because of the sexual content within the book. Overall, I enjoyed the book but there were three errors that I found throughout the book. With saying that, there were some profanity with in this book and lots of sexual scenes and that’s why I am giving this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
I would recommend this book to adults as there were lots of big words and lot of sexual scenes throughout this book. I would say that if you enjoy a good romance book and mysteries then this book would be for you. This was professionally edited. If you like reading Dan Brown’s books you’d enjoy reading this one. This book had me sitting at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen.

Add in an unscrupulous art director, a nephew trying to clear his family's name, and ghosts from previous lives, and you have a story which is a non-stop thrill. The descriptive characters and scenery will have the reader booking a trip to Florence Italy as soon as possible. Highly recommend! Looking forward to the next book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT!! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, in fact, I could not put it down. I read 70% of the book in one sitting and finished the rest of the book the following day. I have given this book a rating of 5 out of 5 because I adored reading it so much and found myself so disappointed to get to the end – only because I didn’t want the story to end! I found the novel extremely easy to read, the story progressed at a good pace, and despite the story flashing between past and present, it was very easy to follow. The story follows Angela Renatus, a young art historian and intern at the Getty Museum who is trying to launch her career in the world of fine art. Angela seems an unlikely heroine in the beginning, but soon after meeting the good-looking and charming art detective Alex Caine, Angela is catapulted into a difficult, dangerous race to find an elusive Da Vinci painting worth, potentially, hundreds of millions of dollars if it turns out to be an original painting. It’s a chase that twists and turns and nearly costs their lives. Angela and Alex not only have to trace, decipher and follow the clues buried deep in history, but they must also be on their guard for others who covert the painting and will go even as far as murder to possess the artwork.
The plot is fantastically engaging, and the way in which Belle Ami writes, transports you into the novel. I could see myself winding through the streets of Italy, running barefoot through the grass at the vineyard, and I could smell the rain on the warm rocks following a deluge. Belle Ami has done a wonderful job combining and balancing the genres of suspense, thriller, historical and romance in this novel. In my opinion, the novel has equal shares in each genre; none are more overpowering than the rest. There is a little bit of sauciness to this book, as you would expect with a romance novel. Although the references are not tremendously explicit, there are quite a few scenes referring to passionate lovemaking.
I will recommend this book to anyone and everyone who will listen, and I will most certainly be reading the rest of the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Historical Love for win!
The story follows Sophia Cora and Gerhard, two young, attractive individuals who plan to leave Italy in 1944 to find a safe home for themselves and their unborn child. They encounter Angela Renatus, an intern at the Getty Museum, who has strange dreams about Leonardo da Vinci and Fioretta Gorini. Angela experiences harassment at work and becomes confused about her connection to the painting. Detective Alex Cain, who is tasked with searching Leonardo da Vinci's paintings, witnesses Angela's loss and becomes perplexed.
As the story progresses, Angela's vision becomes more vivid, and she learns that she is the reincarnation of Giuliano and Fioretta Gorini. They decide to hunt for the painting, as it is essential to their lives. Sophia and Gerhard also communicate with Angela through visions, helping her realize they have reincarnated as them.
The storyline, historical love tale, compelling characters, and seamless transition between past and present are masterfully done. The editing team is well done for providing a flawless book for a good reading experience. The book is rated 5 out of 5 for its masterful communication of the reincarnation tale.

4.0 out of 5 stars Time travel and much more
Time travel as a concept has always intrigued me and when I came across this book and knew that it was about time travel and much more, I immediately decided to pick it up. I must say, the book did not disappoint! The story transitions between three timelines wherein one is set in the Renaissance Italy, second one is set in the World War II time, and the third one is set in modern-day Los Angeles. The story follows historian Angela Renatus and private investigator Alex Caine as they embark on a quest to uncover a mysterious lost Da Vinci painting. As their paths intertwine they find themselves pursued by sinister forces led by Angela‘s former boss, Dr. Alberto Scordata, adding suspense to their romantic journey. However, I must warn that the book contains a lot of explicit sexual scenes, but it does maintain a captivating storyline and the characters are well developed and the storytelling is also really good. Thus, with its blend of mystery, romance, suspense, art history, and time travel, this book is a sure entertainer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating
This is a pretty good book! It is very sexual but if you can get past that, the plot is super interesting.
