Jennifer is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the Claire Goodnite series and the Presidential Affair. She is a native of San Diego, California. She credits her love of books and reading to her mother and her knowledge that real heroes do exist to her dad.

Jennifer Rebecca debut novel Stand is a great read if you are looking for some romance. Cody and Angie find each other in a small town of Tall Pines, Texas. Cody, an ex NFL player turned football coach and Angie a nurse from New York turned school nurse seem to be destined to come together as co workers at a local high school. I'm a big fan of insta-love. Well cause it could very well happen. That's why it's called a love story. Stand had some drama and and epic twist that I for one didn't see happening. Awesome job on your debut Jennifer Rebecca. Can't wait for book 2.

This was a good book and a good debut novel. I really love small town romances, especially in Texas, since I also hail from the great state.

I loved Angel's fiery passionate personality, she is much bolder than I am, but isn't that what we want in heroine, some to reflect what we really want to be?

Cody was bitter and jaded, understandably so after his fiance left him in the hospital because his NFL career is over.

Right from the beginning this novel had me laughing out loud. Angel's aunt was hilarious. This a cute, sweet book that is quick paced. So if you are looking for a great quick read pick this one up.

I just finished reading Stand by up and coming author Jennifer Rebecca. I love reading new authors! There were several grammatical errors and a lot going on through most of the book but the plot line and story line showed promise but needs work. It was a quick read and I will try another of her books since this was her first book ever.

This is a super sweet, slower paced story, but don't let that discourage you from reading it. This story is well thought out and well written, with strong character development. The heroine has a smart mouth and short temper, but manages to stay classy. The hero has some bad habits he tends to fall into, but he mans up and gets his s*** together. Be prepared to laugh and cry....ugly cry.

What a great introduction to a great writer. Felt every emotion imaginable, which is how it should be. Looking forward to the next book. Thank you.

OMG so cute - such a cute book. Loved both of Angie and Cody. Their interactions were sweet and hot. And also really liked the auxiliary characters - they made me laugh! And the horrible ex was reasonably horrible and terribly unlikeable, which I appreciate.

**I voluntarily received an advanced reader copy. **
Stand is the first volume in Jennifer Rebecca’s Southern Heartbeats collection and is her debut novel. This quick read was fun and definitely had some curveballs to it that I wasn’t expecting.

I truly liked the hero and heroine in this book. I loved Cody’s confidence and his sweetness. He’s a former NFL star who suffered an injury, but he didn’t let it define him. He is entranced with Angellica immediately, calling her his angel even though he doesn’t truly know her. He returns to his home in Texas, never truly expecting to see her again.

Angellica is a strong woman who speaks her mind-and we learn that right away when she quits her job as a nurse in New York. She heads to Texas with her aunt, returning to her aunt’s hometown to find a fresh start. She’s hired as the school nurse and bumps into Cody-who happens to be the football coach of the high school team. She doesn’t remember him-though he remembers her-but the instant attraction and lust is there.

This book had instant attraction and definitely instant love. There were some loose story ends of some minor characters that I did not see coming-though I’ll give book two a shot to see if it explains the scene that threw me completely off in this book. I will say that the other characters here almost took away from the main characters. I know this is the start of the series but I felt sometimes the inside jokes/other character storylines distracted me from Cody and Angellica. Overall, I liked the book and will read this author again.
