After Eli Blake’s viral video “Big Girl/Big Heart” shoots him right to the top of the charts, he rises to fame shamelessly tapping into this niche. Because of his striking good looks, all his faithful groupies want desperately to believe every word he sings, like he’s not another run-of-the-mill superficial jerk.

One little wrinkle. He totally is.

After a vindictive ex goes public that he secretly hates fat chicks, Eli must find a full-figured decoy pronto. Obviously the only way to save his rocketing career before it collapses under the weight of one lie is telling an even bigger one. Enter voluptuous Carly Reynolds, his agent’s assistant, who knows what kind of arrogant fake he is and can’t stand him as a result. Still, a girl’s gotta eat, and it’s not every day you get a million bucks for telling one teeny tiny fib. Surely she can handle this lying, philandering opportunist for a year. It's not like she'll actually fall for the guy.

Or will she? In GLITTER ON THE WEB, Ginger Voight returns her readers to the fabulous world of the rich and the famous, with all the delicious complications that entails. One ordinary girl is forced to go for broke and risk it all, and maybe…just maybe… find something real in one beautifully tangled web of deception.

"Ginger has the amazing ability to write in a variety of genres, from hot romance to straight horror to hilarious comedy, which is a talent few writers possess. Some of Ginger's work is bold and sometimes uncomfortable, because she often deals with issues many of us would rather turn away from. Yet in other works, she gives us one hell of a good time with characters you can never forget once you've met them!" - writer/producer Marie D. Jones, Where's Lucy? Productions

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with nearly thirty published novels. Having covered everything from travel to politics as a nonfiction freelancer, she is unafraid to explore multiple genres like romance, paranormal, and dark, "ripped from the headlines" mainstream fiction with surprising depth.

Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.

In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.

In 2011, she embarked on a new journey--to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These "Rubenesque" romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the "reality-TV" preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.

Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn't afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, curvy or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger's goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they'll never forget.

I thought this was going to be a typical rock star-publicist romance, with a main character who just happend to be a BBW. I was surprised to discover that the main character had some real depth, and that the HEA was not readily predictable. Yes...the situation was implausible. Yes...the male character was not likeable, we don't get his POV and when we finally get to the HEA it seems a little unexpected and out-of-character. I appreciated the way the author included various body image issues by using other characters in the book. Overall, I found the book interesting, entertaining and well-written. I actually stayed up into the night to finish it! For me, that's unusual. I really wanted to call someone to discuss the things that were right and wrong wih the story as I read it. I'm giving this one 5 Stars for engaging me so thoroughly, and look forward to reading more from this author.

In the beginning, I did not care too much for the dynamics between the two main characters. But the author did a very good at pacing the progress of their relationship and the story was interesting. I especially enjoyed the latter part of the book. Since it was told entirely from Carly’s POV, like her I was suspicious of Eli’s actions and was wary of his true intentions when he appeared to be caring e.g. when he took care of her when she hurt her leg. However, it was nice how they grew comfortable with each other, lived with each other and was acting like a married couple (minus the sex).

I loved Eli and Carly’s story. My heart broke for Carly each time she felt less than because of how Eli treated her , or maybe it was how she perceived that he treated her. At first he really did treat her poorly and used her for his own gains.
Far sooner than she realized though, he was promoting her and making her life better because he really did care about her. They had such a complicated relationship for most of a year. I’m so glad they got it right in the end. I will definitely read more books by this author.

I LOVED every moment of this book. I literally did not put it down till every page was turned and every word was read. You can't beat a fun read such as this one. You will laugh, cry, be triggered and sewn back together once your heart is ripped out and put back in. Not only was this book a knock out on the comedic factors but also on subjects that need to be talked about. Eating disorders are a very real issue. Having struggled myself for most of my life, it's good to know I'm not alone and having read about it fills a void I hadn't realized was empty. I have recommended this book to many of my female friends in hopes they read it and find a good take away such as I have.
    Bring on Clem!

This book started off really good. I was into the whole premise of a guy falling for a girl that he normally wouldn't fall for. However, it started to get really repetitive. I could identify with the character because i'm not a size zero either, but then it just overshadowed everything. Everything also started to drag on forever so I found myself skimming towards the end. I could never really fully connect to the characters.

This book is a definite discussion peace, it leaves you with a lot of mixed feelings and that’s not always a bad thing. From D main themes of body shape, and lifestyles to being driven and a feminist, this book touches on so many topics that its definitely something you have to read
But stick with it, around chapter 10 I wanted to throw in the towel, and chapter 15 Amy second-guess my idea to read the entire book, there are definitely other points or it gets frustrating, upsetting, and flat out unbelievable but there’s something charming about this book and love it or hate it, you’ll definitely have an interesting discussion about it

The story was just okay for me. It was well written with a slew of great secondary characters but I found I cared more about Gabby and Clem than I did about Carly and Eli. The story as a whole was fun but the romance aspect was lost to me. I don't really feel like Eli did anything to redeem himself until (literally) the very end.
That being said I started the book this morning and finished it this evening so...

This author is new to me and I am so extremely HAPPY to have found her. This book has so much emotion written into it that you can feel it in yourself. It touches on a couple of topics that hit home really hard for a woman that is a BBW like myself. I laughed, got mad and cried my eyes out but it was so good that I know I will be going back to this book time and time again. If you have not read this book you so truly need to. I am starting the next one tomorrow. Enjoy this emotional read to really open your eyes and your heart.
