I am an author from Brisbane, Australia. I am an avid reader turned writer. I like books more than TV, don’t get me wrong, I like movies, but the best movies happen in my head as I get lost inside the pages of a good book. I use life as my inspiration for my work. Generally it’s all in my head fighting to get out. I may see an everyday occurrence and it will trigger an idea. My partner will often come home and tell me of a new work colleague’s name and I will write it down to use on a character in one of my novels. I love being an author and would highly recommend that if you have words trapped inside your soul, you should let them out, even if it’s only to leave a review for a book you've read, start a blog, or become an author.

This dream lover is distressed when she returns to her own dimension and wants to find her.The dutiful god, Destiny bargains with his mother to seek her out. I find this a fresh, new concept. And I like books that are unique. It really draws you in.

    Zandra is a mere mortal who ends up in an accident. While she is unconscious on Earth, her subconscious or soul ends up waking up in a strange room with a super hot blind guy.
    Destiny is the keeper of everyone's destiny and when he comes out of his library, where all the books for every human are kept, he finds a strange woman laying on his couch, asleep.
    Instant attraction hits both of them. Destiny feels he has found his soul mate and while Zandra doesn't understand what is going on she isn't going to fight the attraction.
    The next time Destiny wakes up it is to find his mate gone. He goes to his brother for help in finding her and then sets about trying to bring her back to his world with him.

    This Series of Books just hit the spot. All I can say is wow what a book once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. Read it in a whole night lol.
    I loved the writing style of Melissa and they way she told the story of Destiny. You got glimpse of the rest of the family as well which was nice and set you up ready for the next book (I have read all 4) The story has it all good looking hunks, lovely ladies and a real plot to follow and some really steamy sex, what more can a woman asked for. I recommend this series of books to anyone who loves a bit of paranormal (gods). I have enjoyed everyone of them but it has left me wanting more. I hope that there will be more like Faith Story, Cosmos
    Destiny and Zandra, Destruction and Megan, Morpheus and Cheval, Death and Vanessa
    I suffered and loved every minute with each one. A real rollercoaster ride of emotions for all of them and I am glad that they just didn't finish in each book but lived on in the next one. I have to say that Death was my favourite I felt a deep connection with him.
    I am given the books a 5 star rating
    my review is for all 4 of them and if you haven't read one start there you won't be disappointed.

    Destiny's Fate is the first book in the Dutiful Gods Series by Melissa Bell. It is the first book that I have read by this author. I loved this story! I could not put it down and read it straight through in a couple of hours. It's that kind of good.

    This book is filled with passion, heat, sexy gods, hope, love and humor. The description of the Gods and their realms was convincing and awe-inspiring. Its a wonderful book that is perfectly paced with surprise twists and turns through out. It will have you hooked from the very beginning till you finish the last page. It's a great concept for a story. Very well written. I look forward to reading book 2

    Destiny is blind so that he can't be influenced when deciding each persons destiny. He has lived his life comfortably in darkness until the day his office is invaded by a decadent scent. As he locates the source of this new scent he encounters a woman. She doesn't have any memory of her name or how she got into his study. There's instant magnetism between them though.

    Zandra works for a recruitment agency and on her way home she is involved in a car accident. When she awakes she has no idea where she is or who she is. But she finds herself in the company or a very good looking blind man.

    Melissa Bell has created a work of art here. Bringing forward the idea of the gods for all to enjoy. I gave this book 5 stars because the book is written beautifully with a flowing story. I loved the characters as she slowly introduces a few of the other semigods into this story.

    I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a wonderful romance story. It was something different that you don't read in everyday stories which is what I liked. It was a quick read for me with a satisfying ending. I highly recommend this book to anyone willing to sit down and remain in their seat until the very last page has been read.

    Destiny is the guardian of just that human Destiny but needless to say Destinys world is about to be flipped upside down when a women since my appears in his domain she work change Destiny world ans help him see the life he leads won't be a boring and lonely one born without sight to only see the things others see through their eyes everything about this mysterious women sets his blood on fire he must have her until she disappears he begs his mom to let him stop his job so that he can find her he finds out an accident is what brought her between their world's zandra was in a terrible accident that took her sight but when Destiny takes her back to his world she realizes that the guy she had been spending time with the Nan she thought was her neighbor was Destiny what will happen to find out I strongly recommend that you read this book it is a great book I couldn't put it down 5 gold stars

    This is my first book by Melissa Bell and I can ABSOLUTELY say it wont be my last as I plan on reading her series of the Dutiful Gods. This book was a delight to read and even though it is not very long you find yourself unable to put it down until you are done it is that addicting. The story is about the God of Destiny who goes by the same name he lives a life focused only on his dutys, until the day an unconscious woman called Zandra appears on his couch does he begin to question his life of solitude and loneliness. It is told by both our leading characters point of views and we also get a glimpse into the rest of Destiny's family members which have books of their own in the continuation of this series. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book not knowing what to expect, it draws you in from the very first page and the characters are extremely likeable and funny. My only comment though is that Destiny's back story was more detailed than Zandra's as we get insight into his family as well as his life but in our leading lady's case we only know about her current life and nothing about her family/past. Destiny's character was SWOON WORTHY and SEXY AS HELL, loving and passionate a wonderful leading man who would be any womans dream lover anyday!!!! A must read book for any lovers of greek style mythology/legends who like there books with some HOT and STEAMY love scenes to leave you feeling flustered.

    Whoa this is one hot and steamy book and I love a good supernatural read.

    Zandra is stuck in a job with a crappy boss, on her way home from a function she ends up in a major car accident. Then she meets Destiny or was it a dream ?

    This is the second book I have read by this author and what can I say.... Melissa Bell has certainly done it again, this book has everything I love with a great story, hot scenes and very handsome and sexy male! I was drawn in and captivated right from the beginning, sadly I was unable to read this book in one session, which left me hanging until I could read again ! I am so looking forward to reading more in this series and others from this author.

    This is an awesome book that will have you hooked from the start. Zandas life is turned upside down after a car crash, where her dreams and reality come to life in the form of a hot sexy god destiny. This is unlike any book I've read and I loved the different gods and releams, I love the chemistry between zanda and destiny and the introduction to a few of his siblings. Cant wait for the story to continue and learn more about the other gods. Absolutely fabulous read, I would recommend it highly.
