The Bride Wore Leather: A Bittersweets Sequel Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 32 ratings

When Oscar and Lisa reconciled, she didn’t know that a detour on the horizon was about to change their relationship, and their lives, forever.

But first, they’d get married and make up for lost time. Lisa stood on her toes to reach Oscar’s lips. Muscle memory clicked in, remembering what the others lips felt like, how perfectly their mouths fit together, the line of their bodies melding. They were getting a second chance. The only thing they didn’t know is what total intimacy would be like, because Oscar had been too afraid. But he wasn’t afraid now.

I read this book in one afternoon. Loved it. It was so romantic how Oscar stopped Lisa from marrying the wrong man. Lisa has a big heart and alot of patience!! She blamed herself needlessly I think, for their breakup and she showed Oscar love and a better way to live. I was a little worried about their relationship for awhile but she put up and accepted every obstacle with dignity and kindness. I was sorry to read this was the last book of this series. I really enjoyed it.

Lisa does compromise with Oscar initially. She's still materialistic, and has pangs of regret about Louie and the house they bought, after she marries Oscar. She also unilaterally makes the decision not to have children with Oscar, without discussing it with him. Not at all okay in my book.

Lisa and Oscar's story is complete. Great love story with twists and turns. So romantic but real too. Corrinne created the necessary twist with baby Harry. Interesting way to finish. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Awesome read. Loved the storyline and characters. This is a true meaning of living, forgiving and friendships. Running from one wedding to another one. So much going on, need to read to find out all the great things that do go on. Definitely a must read

The Bride Wore Leather is Book #4 in Suzanne Jenkins’ Bitter Sweets series. This addictive series features characters that are flawed and real. Lisa broke Oscar’s heart by agreeing to marry the man her mother approves of but not her father. With her father’s approval Oscar makes a last ditch effort to reclaim the love of his life. I loved all these wonderfully zany characters.

I loved this story because it was unpredictable when you least expected it. And those are the best kind of stories.

It’s an up and down ride with characters you get so involved with. And you can’t wait to see what happens to each one of them.

I’m always waiting for the next Suzanne Jenkins book.

Oscar and Lisa had a big comeback and lots of challenges to face together as they learned to compromise. I kept holding my breath to see when things were going to crash down. Lots of suspense.
