- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2018What a great ending to this series. I loved the story, it flowed perfectly. I did love how Amy wrote about the present in the beginning so you can have an insight into Angel’s life. The story is written in dual POV which, for me, did seem odd that instead of the couple’s POV, it was written in two best friends POV.
Angel has so much going on in her life. After going through sobriety and her friends walking on tiptoes not wanting her to have a setback, her best friend Cam plays matchmaker. But he didn’t have to play matchmaker for long..as soon as Angel and Marcus met the sparks were flying; although, Marcus had a sordid past. It just took the both of them to be honest with one another so they could move forward..together.
Twisted Fate is the fourth and last book in The Southern Devotion Series. I have read all of them and do have to say this is one of my favorite series I have read. They are all quick reads and I highly recommend them.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2018This is not your traditional Hh book, although it does have that. We finally have Angels book. Angels has alot of demons. Shes a recovering alcoholic and has been diagnosed with a debilitating disease. We also get a glimpse into the life of "the godfather" Cameron. Cameron has been in every book in this series and i wish he was my real life bestie. He met his partner and now husband in the first book for the love of Gracie and i just love his relationship with each one of the characters in all the books. He is loyal and he is loving and I'm glad we finally get to see what makes him tick. Marcus is also figuring out his demons, and learning that history doesn't always stay in the past. Out of all the books in this series I can say, without a doubt, this one is my favorite. It's emotional and deals with a lot of real life issues. This was a great ending to the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2018Angel has a lot of things she needs to handle both from her past and from the present. The one thing she does have going for her is her circle of friends, more like family, who are there every step of the way to ensure she doesn’t slip. One of her friends, Cameron, has made it his mission to find all his friends their perfect partners and he has just the man in mind for Angel.
Marcus is very attracted to Angel but after a revelation from his best friend he wants to have a serious committed relationship with Angel which means taking it slow even if it is something neither are familiar with.
This is a fitting end to this wonderful series and it was great to catch up with the entire gang especially the epilogue 25 years in the future. The author has taken a realistic approach to the issues in all of the characters lives in a way that gives the reader a better understanding. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2018I really enjoyed this book, the only thing I disliked is that it's the final book in the series! The Southern Devotion series has amazing characters, I love how close they are so you really feel invested in all of their lives. Twisted Fate not only provided updates from the others books but really showed Camereon and Gavin's relationship in a way that hadn't been done previously.
Although all of the couples faces many challenges I think Angel and Marcus'journey was the longest. Dealing with past demons and current challenges has this couple fighting the entire story. I didn't want to put it down. I would definitely this book and the entire series!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2018This entire series is awesome. I loved this book. I can’t decide which one is my favorite, but this one was right up there. It’s brilliantly written and it’s easy to fall in love with these characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2019This was the perfect conclusion to the series. We got to get to know Cam better, and Angel. She always seemed like the odd woman out, but she finally gets her story. I love the real life struggles we get to see. So many emotions. I am kind of sad to see it end, but it could not have ended better in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2018Loved this whole series. Hate that this is Book 4. Such emotions as told by best friends that have a strong bond with "family"
