When Carly Morrison moved to Holly Grove, Tennessee, the last person she expected to meet was FBI Agent Trooper Myers. Carly Morrison sets off all sorts of alarms on his suspicion meter, but at the same time, she appeals to him in ways no woman ever has.

With so many secrets and suspicions threatening their relationship, can Carly and Trooper not only solve a twenty-year-old murder mystery but also learn to trust each other enough to plan for the future?

About the Author

Three of Carolynn Carey's manuscripts were finalists in the GoldenHeart contest of the Romance Writers of America before her first book, A Summer Sentence, was published.Although Carolynn hadn't intended to write a series, characters in that firstbook wanted to have their stories told too. Thus, the Barbourville series wasborn. Several books later (including a prequel titled Celebrations of Joy), this series, which is set in a mountain townin Tennessee, has attracted a growing following.
 
In addition to the Barbourville series, Carolynn has writtensingle-title contemporary novels, including women's fiction (Lily for a Day) and a romanticsuspense, Holly Grove Homecoming.
 
She is a huge fan of Georgette Heyer and thus of the Regencyperiod in England. Her first published Regency-era romance, Compromising Situations, won theNational Readers' Choice Award, and her Christmas novella set in that timeperiod was a finalist for the HOLT Medallion. Her most recent Regency, A Simple Lady, was one of her earlyGolden Heart finalists, and the manuscript had set on the shelf for yearsbefore she revised and published it in 2015.
