About the author

Susanne Matthews lives in Eastern Ontario, Canada with her husband. She has three grown children and five grandchildren. Of French-Canadian descent, although her ancestry is British Isles, Susanne is an avid reader of all types of books, but with a penchant for happily ever after romances regardless of what it takes to get there. A retired educator, she spends her time writing and creating adventures for her readers in a variety of genres that range from contemporary to romantic thrillers. She loves the ins and outs of complex stories and the journey it takes to get from the first word to the last period of a novel. As she writes, her characters take on a life of their own, and she shares their fears and agonies on the road to self-discovery and love. After all, everyone deserves a happy ending!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2019Joe Smits wanted to be an average Joe. Only he’s a mega millionaire. Eleni Baxter is looking for that big break that’ll get her noticed, maybe even land a few jobs from a richer crowd.
When Joe meets Leni, he know his heart is lost but can she love someone who isn’t just an average Joe?
A sweet romance that tugs at your heart strings.
Five out of five fairy kisses for this reader.

Loved this story line and concept. This is book 2 of the series but can be read as a stand alone. We originally met Joe and Eleni in book 1. This book actually had scenes that crossed over from book 1 so we got to see it from both sisters pov in some spots.
Joe (Tony & Garth) is a casino owner who hides his identity from every one except for a select few. He is afraid that he will never find his one true love that will love him for himself and not just the money he has in the bank. Dressed as a down and out drifter he meets the woman of his dreams. Eleni. She is beautiful, smart, giving and everything that he has ever wanted in a lifetime lover, wife and friend. When Eleni hops into a cab and leaves he is devastated that he didn't get her full name and he is determined to find her, one way or another. Fate has a way of making things happen.
Elenie is an event/party planner looking for her big break. Little does she know it is going to drop into her lap. Elenie meets Joe as he is sitting on a park bench. There is just something about him that draws her to him. She can't seem to keep Joe off her mind. Again, fate has a way of playing with hearts and emotions.
This book takes you on the emotional ride of Joe and Elenie. Written as a multi pov. I could have used a wee bit more of Joe's pov, but all in all a great story. Needed a bit more editing. The beta reader in me caught a few things that made me pause, but I was able to get back into the story rather quickly.
The story line was well written, the characters were easy to become attached to and the descriptions to details were done nicely. This was a sweet read with hints as to what happened in the bedroom but no graphic details.
All in all, a solid read that I really enjoyed!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2015I really enjoyed this book. Susanne Matthews is a wonderful writer. I have read a lot of her books and liked all of them.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2013This is a sequel to the book Holiday Magic, though the two books really take place almost simultaneously. This story is about Georgia's twin sister, Eleni and finishes up on Christmas Day. As in most of Susanne Matthew's books, this one is filled with detailed descriptions that will take you right into the story and make you feel you are there.
Her characters are interesting and her story sweet. If you are looking for a nice romance that will make you smile and want more, here it is. A sweet, romantic holiday read just in time for Christmas.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2013Just like the first book from this series, "The Perfect Choice" is a delightful story about love and attraction, choices and second chances. The story follows the budding love between Eleni and Joe, as they discover each other and meet on common ground, managing to overcome the obstacles standing in the way of their happily ever after. Another lovely read, as I had expected from Susanne Matthews!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2014This book actually takes place simultaneously as Holiday Magic, so that was a twist I didn't expect. The Perfect Choice is a nice compliment to Holiday Magic. You get to follow the twins along as they both get their happy endings. Another fun read by Susanne Matthews.
