This book is masterfully written.  I am looking forward to reading thenext book in her series. Caroline Walken has become one of my personal favorites. This book is a must read.

Caroline Waken has several titles in publicationcurrently; Ell's Double Down, Reggie's No Limit, Nowhere on the Map andthe latest, Behind the fan.     Set in 1920s America, Ell is a smart woman graduating from college and looking for a future. To save her family childhood home she takes a hand at gambling, aided by her best friend Sophie. An instant success, she soon catches the eye of the local mob and late one night the girls are visited by two extremely handsome mobsters. A make-or-break card game decides if Ell will keep her family home - but whoever wins, she has already lost her heart.

    A emotive love story set amongst 1920s gangsters and mols. Ell a strong willed woman needs to make money and fast, her visit to the gambling halls leaves her on the radar of some powerful and scary man.
    Sent to warn her away Reggie finds himself drawn to the feisty Ell.
    Well written romance with a insightful look into 1920s America. A worthy read with interesting characters. I have to admit I too fell a little in love with Reggie.
