    Violet the Organ Grinder: It's a Sin, by July Cumming.
    This book threw me for a loop.I have long been a reader of erotica, but this story is so raunchy and sometimes downright crude that it achieves a new category of erotica.

    I really don't know exactly how to rate it, but after some hesitation found I enjoyed it. It is another indication of female emancipation. I am always astonished that so many writers of erotica today, especially raunchy erotica like this, are female.

    When I first started reading erotica, most of the creators were men. The men are still there, for the most part, but they are eclipsed by the women for erotic imagination.

    Violet, for instance, is just the latest in a whole series of raunchy books by author July (as in the month) Cumming (a fine pseudonym if ever there was one).

    The story begins with Violet tied to a spanking bench, then being titillated and tormented by a stranger who appears to be a minister. He praises the lord for Violet's concupicence but violates her anyway. Well . . . maybe it'snot quite a violation. It goes on from there to such raw sexual antics that it's impossible to describe without actually reading the book. And get this . . . there are plenty more!

    If you like your sex raw and raunchy, rough and ready, you've come to the right author. And . . . she's Canadian. Who'da thunk it!!! I've already bought another Violet sex adventure.

    The organ grinder is a racy romp tale of Violet, a so called self proclaimed headliner of a freaky side show circus. In this installment we catch up with Miss Violet bound, gagged and abandoned in a BDSM dungeon tucked away in some forgotten hidey-hole somewhere in the middle of nowheresville. If you think that is a doozy of a beginning you haven’t even begun to wrap your head around the premise of this novella. The character is a sympathetic one and I for one am drawn to and want to know more about. Where she came from, how she came to be in this ratty freak show and what’s the deal between her and this mysterious “Tyson” The author does not shy away from her description of not being for the faint of heart. It is edgy, raw and all about the erotica genre , but with a dark humorous twist. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s fine. It’s well written and yes I will have to find the beginning of this tale and more than likely will follow Ms. Violet to the end. 4/5 because I wanted more .
