- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2019Lady Justice and the Mystery Mansion is another enjoyable and quick read by this talented author, He has the innate ability to combine mystery, suspense with a bit of humor.
The characters all geriatrics are entertaining and distinctive. Walt Williams, a former policeman, now a PI is drawn into all kinds of mysteries that include help from his former partner, brother-in-law, elderly father and girlfriend, a few of his tenants, one a jokester, a professor and the manager, who is a large woman who can take care of herself and others. The stories are creative and enjoyable.
I especially enjoyed this story and the way it led up to the mansion being cursed. It was an interesting history lesson at the same time of an old house. I look forward to more books in this lovely series.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2018(Originally posted on Audible.com) The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. I love this series and tell everyone who asks "what should I read (or listen to) next?" that this is the best series and is best enjoyed on audiobook. There are currently 33 titles in this series (this is number 33) and I've listened to, and loved, every one of them!
This book is about a rundown home that once was a beautiful mansion. Maggie talks Walt into buying it so they can restore it to its former glory. Along the way, they uncover many unusual things and attempt to right wrongs done in the past. As per usual with this series, there are lots of one-liners, witty dialogue, and references to movies and music of the past.
I loved this book but I really hated for it to end. Now that I'm all caught up on the series, it will be a long wait for the next book but will be well worth it for sure.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2018As always with any Book by Robert Thornhill, you know that it will be fast moving, entertaining, full of action and mystery and some humor, and this book was no exception. I love the characters and storyline, which usually reflects what is going on in the world or in the Authors life. A fun read, and I can't wait to see what will happen next with our motley crew.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2020I have fallen in love with these lovely little books! These are all character driven stories, and this one is no exception. This is about Maggie falling in love with a wreck of a house and talking Walt into buying it, even after he finds out how much of it he has to update and replace, such as the electricity, the plumbing and the heat. Good husband Walt goes along with his wife, and they begin this adventure. I absolutely loved the photos that accompany the book. They show the things that need replacing as well as the way the house looks after restoration. I would have been interested in some inside shots of the restoration of the inside, but in fiction we readers can't have everything we want. This is a very good book, and I recommend it highly.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2019Once again I am amazed by the talent of Robert Thornhills writing. This book takes on a little different story line but oh so wonderful. Walt and Maggie buy an once grand old mansion. The mansion is in great disrepair . Maggie sets out to get a history of each of the previous owners and Walt finds himself having to deal with their sometimes sordid pasts. George Kuch once again is the fantastic voice of Walt Williams. George is a wonderful narrator of this story line. I am so addicted to these stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2019I loaned my Lady Justice books on Kindle to my husband. A man who never really liked reading. After reading a few of my cozy mysteries, I gave him this series as they were basically the same age. This man devoured these books. He loved Walt and his merry gang. It seemed that he was done with a book before I could turn around. Somehow he connected with Walt. Its always good to see a person connect with characters in a good series. Thank you Mr. Thornhill, but I need more for him. :~)
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2018This was my first Lady Justice mystery and I really enjoyed it. I liked reading about the mansion they buy and reading about its curse and what happened to all the previous tenants.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2018Fast easy read. Several typos distracted from the story.
Elderly couple buys an old decrepit mansion, intent on restoring it’s faded beauty and making a profit. As they have the old place refurbished, many mysteries surface.
Nothing scary. YA friendly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another good story
I really enjoyed this Lady Justice book. It had a completely different feel than all the other Lady Justice books I'd read but was just as great all the others. All of the Lady Justice books are well worth the read.
