All Autumn (Blue Ridge Valley Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 660 ratings

Autumn Stratton has it all. Or so she thinks until she catches her two-timing husband with his pants around his ankles. There is much Autumn can forgive but infidelity isn’t one of them. Since she obviously can’t trust her judgment in men, she decides they are only good for one thing…

Connor Hunter has been friends with Autumn since the first grade, and she’s like a sister to him. That changes the day she accidently flashes him. After viewing something he shouldn’t have, Connor is seeing his friend in a whole new light. When she says all she wants now from a man is a fling, Connor is all in. Having watched his twin brother fall apart because of a woman, Connor has no intention of giving any female the power to hurt him that way.

Autumn and Connor agree that friends with benefits is the perfect solution for both of them. They are friends and will never hurt each other. That’s the plan, anyway. But as happens, the best-laid plans often go awry. And when they do, the quirky residents of Blue Ridge Valley decide to take matters into their own hands, all in the name of love.

This book has on-page sex and some cursing including four f-bombs, so if those things will cause you to leave a bad review, you might want to skip this one. This is technically book two of the Blue Ridge Valley series but it could completely stand alone. There are (obviously) spoilers for the first book in this one but you do not have to have read that to enjoy this story.

Blue Ridge Valley is quickly turning into one of my favorite fictional towns because of the people who live there. In Just Jenny, we learned about the town of Blue Ridge Valley and its eclectic inhabitants and in this book those side characters just made me love them more and more. From Melba to Harry & Granny to Mary and ever-changing her hair color to Beauregard, each of the side characters just added so much humor and heart to this book without overwhelming it. I was also intrigued by Lucas, Taren, and Grayson and I very much want to know more about them! If Blue Ridge Valley were a real place, I would move there in a heartbeat and I'd make sure to take my own piller.

This review wouldn't be complete without a nod to Adam and Connor's relationship. Ms. Owens has shown she has a tremendous knack for writing incredible siblings and men who are as tightly bonded as brothers and this book was no exception. Once again she's written brothers whose will make a reader fall in love with them. ***spoilers to end of paragraph*** I loved the way that Adam was protective of both Autumn and Connor, and that he tried so hard to keep them from damaging each other even as he obviously realized that resistance was futile. The heart to hearts that the twins had, the visit to the river and the way that Adam tried to help fix things between Autumn & Connor were so perfect. I hope that the next book has more of that brotherly love in it.

Not to be outdone by their supporting cast were Autumn and Connor. I loved their history and watching the way that they developed their new relationship so organically. Seeing their relationship blossom from lifelong friends who know each other so well to being in love gave me warm-fuzzies of epic proportions. I loved the way that they fell for each other without even realizing it was happening, and the way that they were perfectly suited for each other despite having never realized it before. (***SPOILER*** to end of the paragraph) That Connor respected the very vows that Brian didn't was a small part of this book but it was so incredibly important to me as a reader. It spoke to how amazing he was as a man and as a potential partner for Autumn because he respected her enough to keep from tempting her to break her vows. So many authors in the genre would have gone with the 'two wrongs make a right' theory and had them hop into bed quickly, but I'm so grateful that Ms. Owens didn't do that. It made me adore Connor even more.

Thanks to all of the foreshadowing in this story, I cannot wait for Savannah and Adam's story. With so much history between them and Ms. Owens telling it, it is bound to be epic.

If you enjoy an incredibly well-written story about two people who are meant for each other who have some fun capers and some that are heart-poundingly serious, and a town full of meddling but fantastic characters you have got to read this book.

Sandra has done it again with another beautifully written 2nd novel in this series. It was hard to put down and riveting from start to finish.
Autumn is my favourite time of year and this title sings to me.
Autumn is a feisty woman. She is strong and knows what she does and doesn’t want from life. Brian is definitely someone she does not need in her life. A cheater without remorse does not deserve our heroine. She kicks him out and moves on. Well done gutsy girl!
Connor is Autumn’s lifelong friend but after seeing her “girly bits” cannot take his mind off wanting to take things further. They are so perfect together. I love that they share so many qualities and activities, such as mountain climbing. It was so much fun reading their story.
The extra characters are a hoot. Mary, Beau just to name a couple.
I want to move to Blue Ridge Valley. The mountains and the towns people who always have your back make it the perfect place to live. It is very apparent that Sandra uses her wonderful knowledge and love of this environment to tell her fabulous entertaining stories. I look forward to reading how Savannah’s life will turn around. This series is highly recommended!

Though this is the second book it is the first one I read. I will be getting the others soon. In this one Autumn had planned a birthday surprise for her husband. Only to be the one surprised by his cheating. Now the story goes on to more interesting things. Like how a small town rallies around her and against her cheating soon to be ex. And when her long time best male friend steps up and is there for her. With many out loud laughter while reading I enjoyed Mary and the other elders of this small community. Will she and Conner ever get their timing together is the story.

All Autumn Blue Ridge Valley Book 2 Sandra Owens

Once upon a time, their was a little mountain town where four little girls grew up into young women and remained best friends. One, Nicole, heartbreakingly passed away, leaving her twin Jenn, trying to make the promises they had made to each other come true. She met a wonderful man who became the towns chief of police and she was very happy. The second woman was Autumn.she was madly in love with her prince of a husband of four months and planned to surprise him in a rain coat and nothing else for his birthday. Well that surprise went up in flames as did her marriage. But a good friend Connor rescued her in a lot of ways, and decided he wanted to be more than friends, but she needed to be free from Brian.

One year later and he was at her door. They had lots of adventures together, some good, some not, but Autumn and her faithful dog Beauregard (Beau) fell madly in love. Neither Connor nor Autumn wanted to call it that but it was a fact. Suddenly a handsome Senator arrived and it added a little wrinkle in their love story. But, true romance always has it’s HEA. Next up will be Savannah. This best friend is a very well known model, and used to be in love with Connor’s twin Adam. But she went off to the big city to find fame and fortune. Autumn and Jenn know something is wrong, Savannah is very secretive and unhappy, and best friends don’t let best friends be unhappy! The next part of this very enjoyable romantic “fairytale” cannot be released too soon!

I found this book charming, very entertaining and funny. Best recommendation I can give!

5.0 out of 5 stars I absolutely loved the follow-up book to Just Jenny

And so the Blue Ridge series continues..........

I absolutely loved the follow-up book to Just Jenny, it was heartwarming, hopeful and hilarious (bit of alliteration for Mary). There were genuinely laugh out loud moments in this book and also moments so heart wrenching it brought on a tear. I loved how natural it felt as Autumn and Connor's relationship progressed and how they interacted - how easily they 'got' each other. I particularly loved Connor and Adam's relationship, how close and in tune they were; freaking everyone out when saying the same thing at the same time. (Can't wait for Adam and Savannah's story!)

All in all another wonderful story from Sandra Owens.

Teil!!!

Only the 2nd book I had read from this Author and have enjoyed them both. This one also had an interesting storyline, very funny in parts, loved the Court scene when Connor and Autumn were caught breaking into her ex’s Garage to collect her briefcase from her wrecked car and both ended up behind bars! Well worth a read.

Great characters and storyline with some nice humour that had me laughing out loud.
The second book in this series is as good as the first. Enjoyed the continuation of the story from book one with Connor and Autumn story.
Never so glad to be stuck at the airport as once started I had to read it through.
