Most of my Plain Jane Series falls into that category. I hope you give all my love stories, contemporary and paranormal, a chance.

From the Inside Flap

I have a heart. He, he has nothing in that chest of his.
He seemed confused, his gaze darting all over her face. His chest billowed as if he'd run a race, but then so did hers. Held in the air slightly above him, she gripped his forearms. Muscles bulged beneath her hands, yet he wasn't straining to keep her aloft. None of this was difficult for him, so why was he panting? Why was she?
He brought her closer, his gaze focused on her lips. Her heart banged against her ribs, wanting to be free. She wanted to be free, yet she gripped him tighter, her fingers curled into his leather coat, anchoring them both to the spot.
She inched closer. Now all she could see was his eyes. Hypnotic, aquamarine, crimson-rimmed, predatory eyes. His lips parted. She waited for him to speak, instead, he breathed, swallowed, and brought her even closer.
She trembled. Heat flowed beneath her skin. A bead of sweat trickled between her breasts, making her aware of her nipples and a distinct ache down below. This wasn't happening. Couldn't happen.
A breath away from his lips touching hers she whispered, "Don't."
He didn't. Instead of her lips, he grazed his cheek along hers and then dipped his head to her neck. He breathed her in and shuddered. "You're afraid."
Yes. No... Depended on what he referred to. Of fighting him, killing him. No. Of whatever the heck this was that sprung up between them, hell yes. Is that what turned him on? Her fear?
"I will not hurt you, unless you want it to hurt." He pulled back and looked at her with clear eyes.
It struck her then how enthralling he was. How easy it would be to submit to the evil. "You should be worried about me hurting you."
A half smile raised the right side of his lips. The same smile he gave when they'd first met. Kill you or kiss you? For the first time, she realized she was out of her depth. This was the deep end of the pool and she didn't know how to swim.

    Only One I Want is the second book in the UnHallowed Series and it's just as good as the first book. Bane and Amaya are put together by Archangel Michael to work on a common goal but can they put aside their own agendas in order to get the job done. This book has everything needed to be a great story, action, mystery, suspense, angst, love and a cliffhanger ending that left me wanting more of the story.     Reading this one so close to the heels of the first was just ummmh a bit Un…With this read we have Archangel Michael intervening. He approaches two different beings with their most coveted of desires. There are catches to this most coveted desire being granted. This read adds an additional layer of deceptions, desire, determination. Devine deception has a way of being forgiven and accepted while still being deception. The desire of the heart and souls can sometimes wage war with the desire of mind. Determination to make the goal and still achieve their most reverent of desires. Bane and Amaya have their challenges laid before them. The have to achieve their task to get what they desire so much that they would be willing to work together.

    As I have already stated, there are added layers to this read that was not presented in the first read. The heavenly deception makes for in interesting set of twists and turns throughout the read. The adventure level has increase. The enemy to ally to lover aspect changes the scope of things. It all leads to a different entanglement with the gateway. The background allows for much to be absorbed in to the senses while reading. The characters. The plot. The world. The growing passion.

    This is a wonderful story to read I am so glad I was able to read this story. I loved it very much it has strong characters and is very well written. I recommend this story to every one it is a wonderful one.

    The first book in the series had a more-or-less tied-up storyline, apart from a couple of side stories. This one doesn’t. That did disappoint me somewhat, as it felt like I was given half a story, instead of a full one. Having a story in parts isn’t really a problem, as otherwise there wouldn’t be a series if the stories weren’t interconnected in some way. So to clarify, what my disappointment was, was primarily that it didn’t follow the format of the first story, as in the main story wasn’t fully rounded. Then a secondary disappointment in that we only received a continuation on Gemma’s situation in the epilogue!

    The story itself, from what we receive of it, is actually mostly enjoyable. The editing started to lapse somewhat towards the end, as if whoever was editing did most of it then got lazy or bored themselves. This did distract from the story in places. The characters were likable, and most of their actions made sense. The story writing allowed for colourful and rich scenes, which were easily visualised. This did drop in some places, but aside from a few down moments, the majority of the story is still unique and memorable.

    Overall I did like it, just like the first. It just needs a couple of tins of polish to make it outstanding.

    This is the second story in the "UnHallowed" and definitely worth reading! You probably want to read them in order. Bane and Amaya are intriguing characters sent to due Archangel Michael bidding but both have their own agendas. I loved the chemistry between the two. I loved the deception, action, intrigue, twists and turns in this wonderful story.

    Only One I Want Tmonique Stephens.
    Bane and Amaya have been brought together at the request of Archangel Michael. Each were promised what they have both wanted for a long time. So they agree to do his bidding to get what they want. Bane and Amaya have to go forward to put aside their difference to try to work to meet Michael's goal and their personal outcomes. Not to mention their growing feelings for each other.
    This is an exciting adventures read with some twist and turns.
    Enjoyed it.
