Anna and the Alien: A SciFi Alien Romance (Alien Abduction Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 5,022 ratings

Anna Elliott wanted to get away. But an alien spaceship was not on the itinerary.

All Anna needed was a calm, relaxing vacation. Instead, she finds herself enslaved aboard an alien spacecraft and forced to help an injured prisoner—a huge, golden-skinned warrior. Even wounded, he arouses her in ways she’s never known. But if he dies, so does she.

When the spaceship crashes on a strange planet, she must put her trust in him to survive. But the passion he stirs in her may cause her to lose her heart as well.

Jakkar is a Sardoran mercenary searching desperately for a new planet to replace his dying home world. He never expected to be injured, captured, and then shipwrecked. Forbidden to mate outside his species, he can’t help but be tempted by Anna’s curvy body and her caring heart.

Now he’s responsible for the small group of survivors—and the luscious little human he’s determined to claim as his own.

Can a girl and her alien find happiness on a deserted planet at the far end of the galaxy?

Each book in the Alien Abduction series features a different couple and can be enjoyed as a standalone romance. Intended for mature readers.

USA Today bestselling author Honey Phillips writes steamy science fiction romance about hot alien warriors and the Earth women they can’t resist. From abductions to invasions, the ride might be rough, but the end always satisfies.

Honey wrote and illustrated her first book at the tender age of five. Her writing has improved since then. Her drawing skills, unfortunately, have not. She loves writing, reading, traveling, cooking, and drinking champagne - not necessarily in that order.

I have to say, I really enjoyed this book. Anna has had a lot of terrible things happening to her and so has Jakkar. They are both great characters. The rest of the crew are nice additions too. The fact that Jakkar finally decides to make her his mate is awesome too. The fact that they get a whole planet out of all their trials is just icing on the cake!

After Anna is kidnapped by aliens, she is set to become a slave like most of the other kidnapped aliens but her kidnappers force her to help an injured Jakkar who has a huge wound in his leg. Anna isn't a doctor but if she doesn't help they're going to kill both of them so she does her best and this huge warrior might be scary but he also aroused something in her and he knows it.

Once they are able to escape the kidnappers and they crash on a far away alien planet, Jakkar is now responsible for the people who survived. He and Anna help the other survivors and they try to make a place to stay safe not knowing when or if anyone will come to their rescue. So meanwhile Anna and Jakkar get to know each other better and find even though they are complete opposites with a lot of different things about their cultures and personalities, they seem to get along well. Jakkar wants Anna as his mate even though his people don't usually mate outside of their species. So when a rescue ship arrives and he informs his people that he wants to take Anna as his mate, there are some who are opposed to this and it causes a problem in their relationship. Jakkar has to choose what to do but things are going to work out because Jakkar is a saviour to his people for finding a new planet to call their own.

So while there are several problems that come between them, I liked how this ended. It was a good read.

So this was a fun and sweet alien romance. I loved the possessiveness of Jakkar and the sweet innocence of Anna. But I did find myself missing those certain aspects I prefer in romance that make me have a fully enjoyable time reading them. My biggest issue was with how Jakkar handled his love for Anna. Everything was written in a way that made it easy to understand everyone's actions, to understand Jakkar's actions. But when I'm reading a romance I don't want the hero to have to be told that the heroine is worth it. I didn't enjoy that his friend had to essentially tell him that being an outcast would be worth if for the one he loves. I felt like Jakkar would've stayed on the same path without his friend essentially telling him not to. And I didn't like that Anna didn't fight more about the situation than she did, and I wasn't happy to hear her internally agreeing to be his slave. Basically I wanted her to fight for it, and even leave if she needed to, for him to realize. And I wanted him to know what was truly right and to go for it, even if he had a small time frame of confusion about it. Obviously if you haven't read the series, you might be confused about the whole slave bit. The series is about humans who are abducted into the slave trade by aliens. So far I've read several books and even though they have a bit of darkness they're very sweet and fun. There is some attempted rape given the situations they're in but nothing actually happens to any of the heroines which I'm happy about. I don't mind a bit of darkness and drama. This one just fell short for me because of the whole issue of Anna being Jakkar's slave. I understood it completely and if it was real, then it would be more realistic. But as a romance I was let down by that bit. Otherwise it had lots of cute moments and sexy moments, it was a really enjoyable read and a great series introduction.

I love all of the characters and how they interacted with each other as well as the plot line. Although this is the first book I have read in the series, I expect to enjoy all of the others if it is like this first one.

When your world is taken from you and all hope is lost …that is when you can find a new life. Even if it’s with aliens. Sometimes life is not what you have always known. Maybe it can be even better. Especially if there is a very sexy man involved. Well alien man, with everything you need. Can two worlds collide and survive? Enjoy

I've read a couple of later books in this series and wanted to go back and hit up the beginning, so here we are. Seeing how it all began. (And, for the record, these books do totally work as stand alones based on me reading them all out of order.)

So. Anna and Jakkar. Frankly, Anna has a kind of crazy day/situation that puts her in Jakkar's path. She survives a plane crash only to be taken as a slave by a kind of jerky (for the most part) group of aliens who are waaaaayyyyy into being creepy. She's forced to use her admittedly minuscule medical skills to save Jakkar and a ROMANCE IS BORN.

Okay, it's not quite as easy as that. But Jakkar and Anna are both intrigued by one another and when the opportunity presents itself for them to escape (with a few others), they take it. And then they spend MORE time with one another.

On his end, Jakkar's people are a little insular (so he doesn't think a relationship with an alien female will be tolerated by the higher ups) and proud and they're desperate for a new home planet before they fall into the downward spiral of extinction (I might be being a leeeetle bit dramatic there, but just a tiny bit). Their situation forces him to unbend some of this thinking, but it's not always easy between the two of them.

Bottom line: I <3 aliens and the craziness that comes with them hooking up with human women. I'm in!

Still she stsys true to the things we love about the stories ,they have an adictive style. Her stories are emotional immersive.
