Chased Kindle Edition
It isn't fear of the position because Magnolia has been under the leadership of Pastor Carrington for five years. It isn't even fear of being the church's first woman pastor. Her fear is the secret she's carrying.
The secret ... Magnolia is being chased. Chased - pursued in order to catch.
Magnolia is being chased by the demons of her past and it's the one thing she can't get away from. No matter how much she prays and fast or the many times she lays on the altar, she cannot outrun it. But she's tired. Tired of running but afraid of being caught. Will Magnolia finally surrender to stop the chase or will her fear be too hard to face?

About the author

Lakisha Johnson, author of Christian Fiction writes from her heart.
Over the course of her career, she’s won the 2018 Drunken Druid Book of the Year Award for her book, The Forgotten Wife, 2019 Top Shelf Christian Fiction Book of the Year for Dear God: Hear my Prayer, 2020 Distinguished Authors Guild Award for her book, I’m Not Crazy and was a 2020 TopShelf Women’s Fiction Finalist for her book, When the Vows Break.
In addition to being a self-published author, she’s also a wife of 26 years, mother of 2, grandmother of 1, Pastor, Sr. Business Analyst, Devotional Blogger and more. She’s a college graduate with 2 Associate Degrees in IT and a Bachelor of Science in Bible.
Lakisha writes from the heart, and this is why she doesn’t take the credit for what God does. If you were to strip away everything, you’d see that Lakisha is simply a woman who boldly, unapologetically and gladly loves and works for God.
Ask her and she’ll tell you, ”It’s not just writing, its ministry.”

- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2020Another amazing and inspiring sermon ( book). Again, consider adding counsellor to your I just of professions. I am strengthened with each book that I read. God is freedom from fear and He will use the weak to confound the strong. Magnolia states. I'm encouraged! Although I do not or have not been abused, I am still working to be free from fear. I look forward to reading your next books and series, "Broken" and "Shattered 2" are on my shelf. Keep writing and inspiring.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2024Chased... I want to say thank you for sharing such a beautiful story that many of us today are fighting. A lot of us don't know how to stop running but you made it plain you showed us the ends and out with scriptures. I know many people have felt like God wasn't there and let these things happen. But boy are they wrong God was there all the time and that's why that thing didn't kill us.
The characters in this book was awesome and I love the love , Kai had for her mother. Magnolia went through so much pain and endured so much but God had a calling on her life and I'm so glad she is finally free. I loved everything about this book I laughed, cried and prayed. Once you pick it up you won't put it down.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2023I enjoyed the book. I enjoy anything that concerns. God Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It was heart touching soul touching and mind touching as well. Very good book to read. I enjoyed it. It continues your hope in God that you’re not alone no matter what you’re going through. God is always there he’ll never leave you, nor for sake you.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2023Once again I have read through another one of Lakisha Johnson's books. It is really good just like all the other books by her that I've read. I read it straight through none stop. I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Thank you Lakisha Johnson your books seem to have been right on time for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2020I chose because the title caught m attention . Although fiction book but so true , their are many things that have happened to us that will halt or alter our plans that God have anointed and called us to do . We have to continue to fight for the release of the strong holds.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2020The book allows a glimpse into a flawed yet redeemable lives of Christians and the church. Many people villainize the church or put it on such a high pedestal that regular people want nothing to do with it.
Johnson does a good job of showing the frailty of humans as it affects every day life while keeping the reader engaged.
She incorporates real life issues into fictional characters that allows readers to see that no matter your position in life, we have struggles and choices. The problem is not with God or the church but with humans and what they chose to do with their free will
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2024Thank you so much for this....
