After being medically discharged, he has rented a cabin by the lake and will be performing at the local Christmas Eve charity event. Rose soon realizes that Ben is not the same self-centered person that she remembers from before and it becomes obvious to him that she has grown into a beautiful woman.

    This is the second time I have read this story and it is just as moving the second time as it was the first time. I encourage you to read this story and maybe also visit the Wounded Warriors website that is included at the back of the book to see all the wonderful things they do to help our wounded warriors integrate back into society.
