    The Hawking clan is ready to celebrate the holidays, but when their beloved dog, Blackie goes missing, the entire Black Swan family pulls together to make sure he’s found and brought home.

    The Knights of Black Swan is one of my favorite series and Ram and Elora are definitely my favorite couple from these books. Catching up with their clan, including Blackie as well as the rest of the Black Swan Knights is such an amazing gift to fans of this series from the author.

    What I truly loved about this book was was the unique perspective of hearing part of the take from Blackie’s point of view. The author also did an amazing job of recapping Blackie’s role in the series and how he came to be a part of the Hawking family as well as unofficial teammate of the Black Swan Knights, which allows new fans to jump right in to this book.

    This book includes some fantastic twists and turns and the pulse pounding adventure fans of the series have come to expect from Victoria Danann. As always, it also focuses on the love and support the Knights and their families feel for one another. 4.5 stars for Blackie’s holiday tale!

    Victoria Danann is a master storyteller. I have read everything she has written and NEVER read a bad book. Black Dog Is a story rich in emotions and relationships. Especially between a dog and his humans. Many of the characters are ones you will recognize if you have read the previous books in The Black Swan series. But this book stands on its own so even if you have never read one of those books you won’t be lost. Unless you get lost in the story, lose all track of time and cannot put it down until the very last page. It is a simply wonderful book that will make you laugh, cry and maybe even yell at a character or two. I can most DEFINITLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK, VERY HIGHLY.

    There was a great buildup in this story and then a rather abrupt ending. I was surprised. I've purchased all the other books in the series as well as the carnal, crave, charming three. I don't know if it's because it's the last one that it felt so rushed but the same thing happened with charming. It was the last and I finished it in two hours. This book took even less time.

This book is actually 3 in the series. When I read the last (Irish War Cry) chapter 8 ended in mid sentence. The following 3 chapters were missing, except for headings. I was disappointed because I love these book and feel like I missed Torn and Shers story, but was able to finish the book without a problem. Please fix edit problem, because these books are a national treasure.

    Victoria Danann has given us a wonderful Christmas present. What is even better, it keeps on giving because one read is simply not enough.

    We get to meet some of our favourite characters from the Knights of the Black Swan Series. I can't get enough of Ram, Elora, Storm, Litha, and Kellareal. Helm is a teenager now and is living up to the promise of being another favourite. But more than that we get to have the point of view of Blackie, the dog Elora rescued and bonded with in the first book. This book is a must for any dog lover. I hope we get more from his point of view.

    BLACK DOG had me on the edge of my seat. I cried a lot both tears of sadness and tears of happiness. At the end, I was filled with joy. Treat yourself and read this amazing tale.

    This author and this series are one of my favorite paranormal reads of all time. Adding in this little novella, just adds icing to the cake. I am an epilogue whore and being able to go back add look at beloved characters in a different setting with a different focus just gets my engines running. It's holiday time for the Hawking family and we get all the banter and love between them. As the title indicates, Blackie plays a big role not only in the family but also it he story line.

    Great snippet of life with the Hawking's and their best friends and family at Christmas time.

    Hmmmm..... PLEASE jump ahead in time and give us Helm's story. He is going to be just as much a handful as his father if not more. Loved him in this one!!

    I love, and have, each of Victoria's books, and personally think she should be tied to her keyboard so she writes quicker. Lol.
    In all honesty, the humanity of all the subjects in her books, and the lightheartedness of the interractions between friends and workmates, leaves me with a warm feeling as I put the book down after a long day of reading to finish it. However, having read all of them twice, I know I will re-read a series again, once the newest book is released. Thank you Victoria for brightening my day.

    When Blackie was missing a phone call away everybody came and help to look for the mascot and Hero special dog.
    And as the life of the future Prince started with the help of Blackie was Helm turn to help his savior. All ends well when Blackie made it home. Heart whelmed story. Sad and happy tears along with some funny parts. I miss my Knights...
