About the author

USA Today bestselling author Honey Phillips writes steamy science fiction romance about hot alien warriors and the Earth women they can’t resist. From abductions to invasions, the ride might be rough, but the end always satisfies.
Honey wrote and illustrated her first book at the tender age of five. Her writing has improved since then. Her drawing skills, unfortunately, have not. She loves writing, reading, traveling, cooking, and drinking champagne - not necessarily in that order.

This one was a much shorter read than the rest and I sort of enjoyed more because of that. It's was sweet and quick, yet the story was complete and well-built. We got to see Mikaroz find a mate finally. I had almost forgot about him until I started reading and then I recalled him from a few books back! I loved the protectiveness of Mikaroz and I love having a winged hero. This was a little steamy, cute, and fun. A great addition to the series. I enjoyed it!

These two characters were kind, and very deserving of the happily ever after they worked so hard to earn! I really loved reading about their interesting journey, and revisiting some characters from Cam and the Conqueror. This book had non-stop action, spicy romantic moments, and moments of selfless bravery. I love stories that are not too dark, but still have the threat of dark, and this book struck the perfect balance. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2025I really enjoyed this one. Even though I did skip Cam and the Conqueror, which is referenced, this is stand alone enough to enjoy. Mikaroz is a guard on the space station in the section holding prisoners and/or criminals, one of which is Greta, our FMC. Spoiler: She murdered her former owner (hell yeah, girl!!) and now she's going to be executed (personally think it's still worth it). However, the space station is coming under some imperial fire and Mikaroz will not let his girl go down in flames. I really enjoyed both these characters and the story!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2023*spoilers below*
I was very cautious going into this one. I haven't read any of the other books in this series yet (books 1-6), and I definitely won't be picking them up. They don't sound like my cup of tea. Thankfully nothing too terrible happened in this book, in comparison to what happened in books 1-6, per the reviews.
Overall this wasn't bad and was mildly enjoyable. Really really wish this series was more like this book so I could actually read them and get the full picture of this world. It seems really interesting (with the exception of all the forced s3xual slavery stuff and the fact that everyone seems totally ok with not changing the status quo around that).
Not thrilled to discover she's locked in her cage naked except for a shock collar. Thankfully most of the guards are uninterested and the few that have leered never touch. The H provides her with a cover before breaking her out of jail.
Didnt like the H's guard friend. He tells the H to just take the h. He's broken the rules of his culture to wait for their mates, they're both 'gargoyle's'. And he steals the H's money and ship they were supposed to buy together to get off the station. He never shows up again either so he's a huge D, and it's a frustrating lose end.
When the h was abducted from Earth, after reaching wherever she was being taken, all the captured females (of several species) were stripped, cleaned, and went through an 'invasive, humiliating exam'. Then a bunch of random male aliens paraded in front of them before she was purchased by the alien she killed.
The h is kind of forced to give him a BJ in public to 'prove' she's a proper slave. The good news is that the H's wings, and the wall, block anyone's view. Shortly the gang that was watching lost interest and left but the h chose to continue, which is why I said 'kind of forced' as she was sort of in it from the start (giving the H a BJ, not being in public).
The h calling the H 'my captain' didn't work for me. It was out of place, and not just for the setting but he's also not a captain and never was. Being promoted to captain in the epilogue doesn't change my thoughts on it.
At the end I think the H from book 3 saved everyone and there were a few people mentioned that I assume have made appearances in the other previous books in this series.
The h's age isn't confirmed but my guesstimate is mid 20s. The H's age isn't even hinted at. It doesn't seem like an age gap, even if the alien might be older (which I don't know).
The h isn't a virgin, it's been a really long time since her last but she did partake in one night stands to 'scratch an itch'. The H is a virgin. No BC (not sure if it's needed).
Spice is 4 fires out of 5.
Epilogue 1 month later.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2024I have always been fascinated by Gargoyles so my library is full of Gargoyle romances. Throw in an alien gargoyle romance and I’m hooked. I loved how protective Mikaroz was from the beginning, he was also sweet and endearing. Greta really hit the mate lotto when he was assigned as her guard.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2023In this 7th book of the series, you wrap around to the middle of a long-running plot. You get a little more history and some more knowledge of the outlying characters. You fly, you get squished, and your horizons never looked better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greta and Mikaroz
Greta is detained in a cell on the spacestation because she killed her owner as he tried to rape her. Greta is human and Aliens abducted her from earth. Now killing one's owner means a death sentence for Greta and the only guard who is friendly to her is Mikaroz. He cares if she's eating and buys a translator for her, because up to then they couldn't communicate at all.
I loved this book , it is a good and fast read. Greata is such a smart girl freom Texas and Mikaroz is a big, brave Alien with such a soft and tender heart. Those figures are easy to identify with and especially Mikaroz has something heartwarming. So I highly recommend this book and hope you have as much fun as I had reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and sexy
Another great read from Honey. Mikaroz and Greta is such a sweet story. I am happy at the ending for Mikaroz as he seemed such a kind decent male when he was first introduced. A must read for anyone looking a kind sweet happy ever after.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute
Cute, short, romance.
Hot too.
The main character are very cute.
And we could see characters from book 3 ( the ones I like the least ), but at least here they were à normal couple.
The mal lead is very very sweet. Easy to fall for.
