About the author

As a child, I was mesmerized by story tellers and my mother always made sure I had a supply of books close at hand while I was growing up. Sitting on her lap and listening to her read to me is one of my earliest memories. I remember drawing pictures and then making up stories to go with them, and as I got older, my stories became longer and more fanciful. At age ten, I began to write them down, and when I was twelve, I wrote my first "book," all handwritten. I wrote during rainy days in gym class when we all had to stay in the locker room and sit on benches. I had a small cult following of friends who waited for me to finish each page which I would then pass down the row. When I got a typewriter for my thirteenth birthday, I typed up my "masterpiece" and put it in a 3-ring binder then hid it away. The story was actually quite silly. Having a typewriter, however, made it possible for me to write even more, which I did on almost a daily basis.
But, as happens to many young, aspiring writers, reality grabbed me and when I graduated from high school and headed to college then into the work force, the dream of becoming an author washed away. It wasn't until I turned 62 and experienced my 3rd job layoff, that I decided to try and make my writing dream come true.
Writing has become an addiction to me, and I'm finding that ideas for other scenarios and characters keep flooding my brain, with the characters screaming, "Write about me! Write about me!"
And, that's what I intend to do.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2019The necklace Vll:London, 1815 is written by my favorite author , Linda S Rice, of all the books that she’s written , I always given her a five star rating, 100% more likely because it’s got plenty of everything in that you could ever wish for on a day you want to just sit and just read a wonderful beautiful book , I love Susan and James, they are a couple that could really get your heart racing when it comes to romance, when I read the necklace, I feel I am Susan with James in real life going through different scenarios, but going back in time to 1815, is very very different style of clothes ,food , and the way they talk, Linda Rice is a wonderful writer, now remember to leave a review like I am and give her five stars, Once you read the book one , you want to go through all the books, tell you’re friends about how you Loved The necklace, Linda Rice, I just want to mention you are number one for my book reading .

1.0 out of 5 stars PATHETIC: BIG WASTE OF TIME
Its the most immaturish, pathetic story with awful couple, wish i could give it -1 rating. Big waste of money.
While the regency description accurate enough, I hated the hero from the beginning, he was childish, immature, constantly pressuring her to have sex, cheats on the heroine and not the least bit remorseful about it and throws it back into her face, and this so called modern hero thinks womans independence and moment was lit shit. I was hoping atleast heroine was likable but she too is irredeemable. And somehow we are expected to believe these couple in their previous modern lives lived to 25 years as happy couple. What a joke, has the author never heard of growing together as a couple concept in healthy relationships? Reading the reviews I was very excited to read this, I wish I hadn't wasted 3 hours of my life, couldnt even get past 50% story
