I have been a fan of Robert Thornhill ever since I read his first book. I loved that his hero Walt is older and yet still manages to have a life with action, adventure, humorous situation and romance, and his motley crew of friends. Though this time the story revolved more around Walt and Kevin, the pace is quick and there is plenty of action, though shame on Walt for not warning Maggie that he was in danger!! and hence she as well. I also like that you can see part of Robert peeking through the pages since he always seems to write about what is going on in the world or in his life. Hope there will be many more books to come. I would love to make an appearance in one. Entertaining read as always.

I haven’t read every book in the series, but I think I have them all in my inventory. Whenever I want a light, but interesting book to pass some time and feel good, I pick out one of the “Lady Justice” books. As a senior, I can relate to the protagonists, but a younger person could get some fun out of the characters and their activities. This book, as with the others, is an interesting murder mystery, with lots of twists and turns. Although I stretched it out over a couple of days, you could finish a book in one sitting.

As soon as this book came out I instantly downloaded it with my Kindle Unlimited account. Shortly after I finished reading it, it was offered free. Even though I had just read it, I bought it--I love these books and that was too good to pass up. I will probably re-read it again at some point.

As it frequently happens Walt gets pulled into something not of his making. His father talked him into taking over a living trust for a good friend of his. It would not have been so bad but the ones who were suppose to inherit most of the old man's estate was his 3 whinny, greedy grandchildren. The old man knew what his grandchildren were like so he stipulated something that they each had to do in order to inherit--and this did not go over well with the grandchildren at all. These kids were so greedy that they got really upset when they found out their grandfather had also put something aside for his faithful housekeeper--they wanted it all. And so the story goes with Walt trying to for-fill the trust the way the old man wanted it done. You will just have to read it to find out what each of the grandchildren had to do and weather they did it or not--and if any of them were able to inherit anything or not. And as always, there are some laugh out loud moments in the story. I love everyone of these stories.

It refers to previous books, but does not waste time going back over them. Liked that a lot. I may find other work by this author .
If you want a light read this is a great choice.

I have read several of the Lady Justice stories by Robert Thornhill and have enjoyed them all. In the Living Will, Walt gets roped into being the executor of a friends will and finds that he will have to deal with more than he bargained for. The oldsters get together and try their best to meet the wishes of the deceased friend. It should normally be cut and dry, but the three grandchildren are more greedy and ruthless than Walt initially thought and trying to stay alive will be a feat in itself. Highly recommended.
