If you are looking for a new author or heartwarming series to start,you can't do better than a Tamara Ferguson book. I discovered her about twoyears ago and now devour every new book that comes out. Wonderful characters,always a good story brimming with emotion and passion, the stories will grabyou and linger in your mind for a long time after. Thank you Ms. Ferguson formany hours of pleasure~Patrice Wilton-New York Times & USA Today Best-Selling Author About Two Hearts Under Fire~ Two Hearts Under Fire is a thrilling and suspenseful story that follows the two main characters as they attempt to survive a series of assassination attempts. I especially enjoyed the plot of this story which has them traveling in a friend's RV and camping out in the woods while Brand attempts to unravel the dangers facing each of them. Seeing these two characters as they operate under stress is illuminating and powerful and adds to the dimension of this remarkable series. Ferguson also spotlights the all-too-common problem of abusive ex-spouses and the lengths to which they'll go to destroy their victims. Look in any paper and Claire's story or one quite like it will appear. Two Hearts Under Fire: Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8 is most highly recommended~5★-Jack Magnus for Readers' Favorite This is not the first Tamara Ferguson book I've read. I can honestly say Two Hearts Under Fire is up there with the best of the stories I've read from her to date. Two things I particularly love about this book and about all of this author's work is the immense amount of action, excitement, plot twists, and romance, she can jam-pack into what is essentially a smallish novel. I've read some books with this much excitement that are double the size and yet Ferguson loses nothing in the paring down of her work. There are no wasted words or padding in her books, which make them simple and easy to read in one sitting. In fact, it is always hard to put a Ferguson novel down and this one is no exception. The second thing I love about her writing is the sensitive and caring natures she manages to build into these giant, hulking men, many ex-special forces operatives, whom she shows are capable of feeling and expressing deep emotion without shame. I also appreciate that much of the action takes place against the backdrop of The Wounded Warrior Hospital and the school for children with disabilities, both in Crystal Rock. These are obviously twin passions of the author and they fit in perfectly with her stories. This is a great read and one I can highly recommend~5★-Grant Leishman for Readers' Favorite It's easy to fall into the high stakes tension and serious drama of author Tamara Ferguson's work, whilst also really enjoying the way that such intensity forges strong and sudden bonds between her central pair of characters. I liked Claire for her tenacity, but also for her practical side and self-preserving nature, and these qualities made for a good match with Russ, whose hardened exterior slowly breaks down as the plot progresses. The action sequences and central military mystery also hold up equally strongly with the romantic storyline, making for an immersive and compelling tale that still comes out with a satisfying conclusion all around. Overall, readers seeking intense romance, but also believable characters and high stakes situations are sure to take Two Hearts Under Fire into their own hearts and really enjoy its storyline~5★-K.C. A masked man breaks in to the apartment and when he is killed, they flee for their lives. They begin to realize that there is a traitor in their midst as someone seems to know where they are going leading to further attacks. Brand is working from his end to find out who is involved and the story comes to a head as facts are revealed for a satisfying and amazing ending. Her beautifully crafted writing grabbed me on page one and never let go. After reading only a few of her Two Hearts series, Ferguson is quickly becoming a go-to author, who I know will provide a quick read to sweep me away into a happily ever after.

    Richly-drawn characters I love to love, woven into exceptionally-handled, real life drama ripped from the pages of current events, charges her plots with believable storylines. And backdrops using well-researched military themes bring the challenges facing our United States veterans front and center, which I absolutely love.

    In Two Hearts Under Fire, Russ Quinlan and Claire Ellis, each running from eminent danger of their own, join forces in a fast-paced thriller. Dodging danger at every turn, they manage to fall in love — the kind of love everyone desires.

    I highly recommend Ferguson’s Two Hearts Under Fire—or any book in this series—to anyone who loves a good romance in a fast-paced story you won’t want to put down.

    When I ordered this I realized that I had not read any of the previous novels in this series. And, was glad to find that this one could definitely be read by itself.

    The story flows smoothly and from the beginning I felt empathy for AN Russ Quinlan and Claire Ellis. An interesting ride for both of them trying to keep one step ahead of the evil ones on their tail. Several mysteries are included, military members have a strong presence as well as munitions in Iraq.

    The subjects covered in this novel include abusive past relationships, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Wounded Warrior Project and the Crystal Rock School for Kids with Disabilities.

    The author has an inherent ability to intersperse humor at exactly the right time to break up the tension. Rusty, the dog, tugged at my heart from the beginning and I actually laughed out loud when he was put into the shower! Good dog, good dog...

    Loved the multi-layered plot, the well-developed characters as well as the dialogue which was clear and concise. The addition of strong female characters certainly added depth to this novel. And, everything was tied up nice and neat at the conclusion... which was appreciated.

    Most highly recommended and for multiple reasons.

    Despite being an eclectic reader, I am not a fan of romance novels, but after finishing Two Hearts Under Fire, I have to admit that I am going to include more stories of this genre in my TBR list!
    Two Hearts Under Fire is not the typical romantic story with the pre-established script "Girl meets boy and everyone has a happy ending". On the contrary, Tamara Ferguson writes stories that contain action in addition to romance and involves topics such as family abuse and terrorism, which makes this particular book a very interesting read.

    Two Hearts Under Fire is the eighth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series by Tamara Ferguson. This story is a wonderful military/wounded warrior romance, with danger, emotion, mystery, suspense, action, adventure, love, a little drama, and hope. As always, Ms. Ferguson drew me in from the very beginning of the story and held my attention the whole way through. I have read most of her books now, and have loved every single one. I especially love how her stories all help to build a much bigger picture- with many interconnected details, characters, or situations- as each one adds another layer, or unravels a little bit more of the much bigger picture that’s being woven in the background. The stories are always intriguing, and each book only reinforces the fact that Ms. Ferguson is a consummate storyteller- and one I won’t tire of any time soon….A.K.A ever!
    Ms. Ferguson crafts wonderful characters- giving them strengths, but also not shying away from giving them some vulnerability too. Claire and Russ’ are great characters who have a very interesting story to tell- and this is where I confess that I really wasn’t sure what to think of Russ after meeting him back in Book #6. I worried that I wouldn’t connect with him when I realised that this was ‘his’ book. But I needn’t have worried because he won me over and I became completely invested in the story.
    This story is intriguing, well written, realistic, believable, emotive and entirely engaging. I am looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!
