Wrong About Harry (Detective Harry Hamm Mystery Thrillers Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 22 ratings

Knock. Knock.
Who's there?
Trouble. You'll need a gun and a bad attitude, Harry.

Trouble has a way of finding private eye Harry Hamm. It's what's wrong about Harry. A bank robbery endangers his family. Old enemies resurface, bubbling up like a deadly epidemic. A new partner emerges. Together they might solve a mystery or two and live to talk about it.

Harry's most important promise is the hardest one to keep.

The second Harry Hamm mystery thriller unfolds like a losing hand of poker for all of Harry's marbles. Card after card falls with a thud, like dead bodies hitting the floor. It's too late for good luck. It's too late to change the game. Or is it?

Dambrosio's Harry Hamm mystery thrillers include:
The Wrong Dame
Wrong About Harry
The Wrong Truth

Author David Lee Dambrosio is a storyteller, from novels to screenplay books to poetry.

Private detective Harry Hamm is the heroic anti-hero of four mystery thrillers:

THE WRONG DAME

WRONG ABOUT HARRY

THE WRONG TRUTH

THE WRONG END (new)

The detective series delivers hard-boiled dialogue, biting humor, romantic complications, and is action-packed with who-done-what-to-whom and how-will-it-turn-out plots.

The trilogy EASY WAY INN tells the story of five lifelong friends, attempting to dodge life’s consequences. They easily enter life’s doorways, only to learn the ways out are difficult, threatening, and life changing.

NO PLACE IN HEAVEN tells of corruption and infidelity in suburbia.

In WHERE’S TINA?, the heroine is stuck in the middle of the 1969 generation gap when her best friend goes missing. WHERE’S TINA? is not just an old-fashioned love story – it’s a suspenseful romantic mystery thriller.

The screenplay books, TWIN KILL (crime drama), BEAST FROM WITHIN (horror), and THE LAST WAGON TRAIN (western), play movies in a reader’s mind. They feature unforgettable characters and plots.

For fans of poetry, Dambrosio’s six collections of evocative and emotive poems will leave a reader empathetic about the ironies and complications of life and love. The sixth and final book, SELF-SURVIVOR, ends the journey.

THE ADVENTURES OF SOX THE CAT, a pet fantasy for kids and grownups of all ages, displays the author's diversity. Move over Toto and White Rabbit, here comes an amazing adventure of hope and friendship.

David Lee Dambrosio is a storyteller. His books are like wine, white and red, sweet and tangy, though never dry. Choose your pleasure and enjoy.

Really liked the references to my home town. Harry has been through a lot, interesting to see where the story takes him. A good read!

It was all over the place. There is a lot going on here, and I wish this book would have tied things up better. Some parts unbelievable, but a entertaining read. I was glad I read this two book series.

Well, the author tried, I’ll give him that. Sadly, his writing is so without imagination or grace of any sort I literally found myself laughing at certain parts which were clearly meant to be serious.

I’m guessing he’s self-published as I can’t see a real publishing house putting up money for it.

LOVE THE CRIME NOIR ERA OF THE 50's.THIS AUTHOR HAS THE RIGHT FEEL AND THE DIALOGUE SPARKLES. TWO BOOKS AND I M ADDICTED TO THE DETECTIVE SERIES.BOTH BOOKS ARE NOT ONE CRIME AND MYSTERY THAT THE DETECTIVE SOLVES BY THE END.THE NEW AND RETURNING CHARACTERS ARE ESPECIALLY WELL-DEVELOPED.AFTER READING THE WRONG DAME AND WRONG ABOUT HARRY,I PREDICT A POSSIBLE TV SERIES ? I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS AUTHOR ! HAPPY READING!!!

A well written piece of fiction by the author. Especially liked the three subplots woven into the main story that piqued my interest. Loved the way the protagonist “Harry Hamm” actually (IMO) became an anti-hero at the end. Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of Harry Hamm and some of his underworld connections AKA Tony Bacca.

Harry Hamm should be the first choice if you need a private eye..A combination of well developed characters and an interesting plot. Overall an enjoyable reading experience..
