Picking Poppy: A SANCTUM Novel Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 716 ratings

Will she ever meet the man to care enough to woo her with flowers?

Floral shop owner, Poppy West fashions beautiful arrangements for others. So far a petite blonde who is able to talk to flowers better than humans has not been on the most wanted lists of the men in her small town. Easily overlooked, she works long hours trying to sustain herself and escapes into a world of loving Daddies and Little girls.

From the moment Tyler Cooper sees her worrying over the floral arrangements at Ben and Samantha’s wedding, he knows she’s his Little girl. It’s time for him to start building in SANCTUM. He’s picking Poppy to make his house a home.

Pepper's books feature a power exchange in the form of age play (adults who choose to live as a Little or a parent of a Little) and possibly dubious consent. If you are offended by this dynamic, this is not the book for you.

I absolutely love this book. When I am feeling low it is a book I can go back to and re read, over and over again. This is my favorite book of Pepper North, and she has some great books. The reason why this is my favorite book is I could really relate to Poppy. IN her heart of hearts, she wanted a daddy and she worked so hard at her business. She meets Tyler at Priscilla and Mitch's wedding; she was the florist.

Tyler, an author who has been a member part of Sanctum since the beginning. He had his little years ago, but she did not want to live as one 24/7, so it didn’t work out.

This story is of the journey their relationship takes and how a Daddy gives his unconditional love and encouragement to allow Poppy to trust in herself and her Daddy. Have Kleenex handy. I cried a bit.

Yes, it is an age play story with great characters. I would not be able to do the diapers, but I love the trust Poppy has in Tyler.

Picking Poppy is the fifth book in Pepper North’s Sanctum series. In this Ms. North introduces readers to two dynamic characters—Poppy West and Tyler Cooper. She is a florist, and he is an author and co-founder of Sanctum. They meet at a wedding of mutual friends are attracted to each other. You must read this book to discover what unfolds.

Once again, Ms. North pens another enjoyable character-driven romantic plot. These two lead characters have a definite chemistry between them. Her plot line is well thought out and allows readers to witness how their relationship evolves. She uses dialog and a dual point of view to build a palpable romantic tension. Her descriptive language creates vivid scenes. I particularly like the scenes wherein the little boy buys special gifts for his mother. These scenes tugged at my heart. Nice job, Ms. North.

I loved the story! Pepper North writes wonderfully. Poppy is a Little who has only read about the life style. But, when she meets a man at a wedding and finds out he is a Daddy and wants to be her Daddy, she's excited and nervous. Can she be the Little he needs and can she be happy? Find out. Read the story. This is the second time I have read these books and I enjoy them as much as the first time.

Wow...I love the Sanctum books! Poppy is the local florist and she has been asked to arrange the flowers for Priscilla and Mitch's wedding. She thinks the ladies might be Littles, but she isn't sure until Tyler confirms it. Tyler is an author who has been part of Sanctum since the beginning. He thought he had his Little years ago, but she did not want to live as a Little 24/7.

Poppy is immediately attracted to Tyler and sits with him during the wedding. She gets scared and runs, but agrees to meet with Tyler the next day. Their relationship then takes off at light speed and is very intense.

I love the way the the author describes these young ladies. They may be a handful, but they are all sweet. I enjoyed the story of Tyler and Poppy immensely and I give it a full 5 stars!

It was okay and this is a good addition to the Sanctum series.

Overall, the series is easy reading. With the exception of "Protecting Pricilla", there isn't any real conflict or even build up. By the time you get to "Picking Poppy" (Bk 5), you know what is going to happen and when. The books tend to have a "sameness" to them after a while. This is fine if you just want a fast read with no surprises. Unfortunately I found myself getting a bit irritated that every Daddy had the same exact requirements for their Little (diapers, bottles, spanking punishment, cribs, etc.) even though the characters themselves were different. Every Little knew she was a Little and was familiar with the lifestyle. It's a diverse world and it would just make sense that every person would have different needs.

The author is good so I'd like to see a bit more range from her. More build up would also be great. I don't mind insta-love, but it's hard to reconcile I-just-met-you with 2-hours-later-I'm-calling-you-Daddy. Loses a lot of the believability factor. The writing itself was good and I actually really liked the characters. The story flowed smoothly so no complaints there.

    Overall, I give it a B-.

Tyler (writer) and sweet Poppy (Florist)
Love love them both . See how much Tyler loved his Blossom. ( loved his nick name for Poppy)
Got emotional when gave her the Red Tulips, he cared enough to get to know her .

    Love this scene
“Do you know what red tulips mean?”
    “I do.
Why don’t you tell me what red tulips mean to you?” he probed.
“Passion. Undying love. Perfect love,” she answered, stressing each word or phrase as if it were the most important emotion to her.
Love how they told each other how they felt
Like how he got her to use her diaper,
Wowsa on the prize she will get if she accomplish the goals he has set for her
I know ya want to what it was and all she had to do. Also what happens when she goes behind her Daddy back to keep from using her diaper.
Enjoyed the chemistry between Tyler and Blossom.
He made her feel loved and safe .
Y'all need to One click, read this wonderful book

Poppy, a quiet Floral shop owner and a serious daddy come together in a sweet addition to the series. I like the fact that he was a sterner Daddy than most Daddies at
Sanctum. The tough love he showed his new little was fun to read about. I only gave this 4 stars because, once again, there was not much background of either character, which I have wish was included in this story. I would recommend this book to anyone reading the series, as well as anyone interested in a DD/lg dynamic.

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.
