About the author

Loretta C. Rogers is a fourth generation Floridian, and proud of her Scots-Irish, German heritage. She admits to using writing as an excuse to avoid cleaning house. In her younger days, she and her pinto mare busted cattle out of the brush. She trailer-trained horses, and competed in a couple of 25-mile trail endurance rides. These days, she rides a rocking chair.
When asked why she writes in different genres, Loretta doesn't mind telling readers that she lets the characters inside her head tell their own story. From Old West lawmen to Contemporary rival drug cartels, Loretta crafts the plot. She calls it, 'getting out of the way,' and letting creativity take over. This is why her tagline is: Romance with a Twist...Expect the Unexpected!
Aside from the fact that I get to be my own boss and go to work in my pgs, I enjoy writing because I get to live vicariously through my characters that are clever and fearless, but in real life I’m afraid of snakes and heights. Let’s face it; I wouldn’t last five minutes as a character in one of my books.
The thing I appreciate most is when readers accuse me of keeping them up all night turning the pages of one of my novels. I also love that I get paid to make up stuff. Other than being addicted to crossword puzzles, I have no hobbies because writing is all consuming and takes a lot out of me.
Something she'd like readers to know--That she is also L.W. Rogers.
Loretta values her readers. If you enjoy her books, she would appreciate your letting others know by posting a review. She prefers FaceBook to Tweeting, and can be found on Pinterest. She hopes readers will drop by and say, howdy!
Happy Reading!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2018This is an exquisitely written saga taking us on a thrilling adventure that begins on the Western frontier. The characters are deeply textured, and I enjoyed experiencing Jesse and Rebecca grow closer over the course of time. I found the book hard to put down and, in fact, read it all in one day and night. The supporting character Leotie, with her background and willingness to create a new life, is especially endearing. Jesse and Rebecca's affection and passion, even with the troubles that beset them from all directions, make for an unforgettable love story.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2018I received a copy of this book via NetGalley and the publishers for an honest review.
I am not a real fan of Western Historical's Romance but I am glad I was able to read 'When Forever Comes' by Loretta C. Rogers as she had gained a new fan with this wonderful story. I felt like I was watching the story unfold before me and feeling all the different emotions that were discribed with the two main characters. Jesse Starr is a reluctant hero and was determined not to be nice guy. Rebecca Throckmorton is a very young women who has run away to marry a man who she finds out is a real scoundrel who steals her money and gets her pregnant and then dies while going to pay a debt. When Jesse and Rebecca meet under difficult circumstances all Jesse wants to do is 'help the little lady' than leave. I will be very interested in reading more books by this author. I recommend this book.

A superb book! Definite buy buy buy buy buy time! While I am not a fan of this genre of the western historical romance books, this one was superb! It has such depth and life. I was totally enthralled by the book from the beginning to the end and managed to read it in less than a day. I must say this is a book that you will remember. Each layer was absolutely engrossing. I love the characters as well as the way the story unfolded. Each part of life and each part of the totally time line was wonderfully done. This is a new author for me but I will be looking for her more and more! So if you want a superb western historical that spans so many layers, buy this book and just get ready to be enthralled by the writing. I was given this ARC via NetGalley. All opinions written here are my own and one willingly. Buy and enjoy! Regards Anna
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2019A sweeping romance that takes the reader from the prairies of Oklahoma to the drawing rooms of England. Starry-eyed Rebecca eloped with a scoundrel and now finds herself, eight months pregnant with her first child, waiting for her husband to return with the doctor for her pending delivery. Panic sets in when days pass and she remains alone.
Jesse Starr, seeking his birth mother, a Kiowa princess, stumbles upon a dying man who begs Jesse to take care of his wife with his last breath. Despite his rush to reach the Kiowa tribe, Jesse agrees, and is unprepared for the youth and beauty of Rebecca. As both seek to reunite with families they've lost, the two struggle against their attraction until they realized theirs is a love meant to last forever. Along the way, they must face hardship, betrayal, and their own reluctant hearts.
This was a wonderfully told, riveting story. My few nitpicks: Leotie's vision of her journey ending at Chicago is left unanswered, and Rebecca's turnaround on marrying Jesse came a little too quick, based on circumstance and desperation rather than a true affection for him. Because the story moves so quickly and with such rich characters, these two flaws were easily forgivable to me. All in all, a fabulous read!
