Not my reality but I know many may be able to relate. This is mess on top
of mess. I am really upset with all the female main characters and I don't like that. The author has me intrigued and invested and I need to see how this story ends.

I really love the layout of her books. The book keeps you reading to the point of not wanting to put them down and love how the scriptures are used. Now I'm about to book 2 and 3. I love it.

"When the Vows Break" by Lakisha Johnson

    My Opinion:

This was quite a real story that you had to keep up with to understand what was going on for six best friends truly...Camille, Shelby, Raylan, Chloe, Kerri, and Lynesha. I will also say that each of these characters had their significant other from Thomas, Brian, Justin, Chris, Michael, and Paul. The story will have a little bit of it all from 'homosexuality, adultery, careers, cheating, lies, secrets, deceit, drama, unfaithfulness, flirtation, fakery that one may not expect from so-called friends, but believe me. It can happen. What I wondered about as I was reading this novel how could this happen to these well-educated friends? Even some Christianity was brought in, but I am not sure it was enough to help in these ladies' situations.

Well, to find out, all that is left to say is that you will have to pick up "When the Vows Break" so see how this author will bring it all out; however, be ready to need to purchase part two to get the next part of the story. I will say you will have to stay with the story[I had to keep notes] because the connection is spread among all six of the characters with lots of twists and turns that will give the reader quite an interesting read to the end, leaving one wanting more.

Whew I was mad because I though she ended the book like that then I seen there was a book 2 and 3. This book is deeper than what the title is. I wasn't to crazy about the beginning of the book but as I read it got heated. There is so much drama and secrets in here to keep you wanting more. Since this series is complete I'm on to book 2

I truly enjoyed this book. Can't hardly wait to read part 2. These ladies have a lot going on, they just let it fall where it lay or at least thrash what it seems like. Ms. Johnson this is great reading material. Keep up the great work.

I really enjoyed this book and all the drama that it involved. I had a hard time keeping the names of the friends and husbands straight, but the book flowed so well that there wasn't much guess work in it. I feel sorry for these women that are dealing with many different issues. Real life issues. I can't wait to read book 2!

I have always liked Lakisha Johnson’s work and although this book has a lot of characters, I got to say it was drama filled and a quick good read. I’m looking forward to reading the next two books in the series. I really can see the evolution in her writing and I definitely recommend it. It really was filled with a lot of every day drama. If nothing else you will learn that you have to work at marriage if you want it to work. Kudos, Ms. Johnson as usual your brought the heat.

    Happy Reading,

At first its hard to keep up with the lives of six characters but once you do its non-stop drama. To be honest I wouldn't recommend an immature Christian to read this because of the explicit material but its a great story. Miss Johnson is really making noise in this genre!
