Lady Justice and the Raven Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 131 ratings

Walt discovers a manuscript hidden in the false bottom of a cabinet Maggie bought at a craft fair. The manuscript, written by a woman named Lenore, tells the tragic story of a life filled with abuse, incest, and finally --- murder. Drawn in by the story, Walt becomes entangled with members of the family whose lives mirror characters in many of Edgar Allen Poe’s gothic novels. Accompanying Walt on this curious journey is a Raven that guides Walt through the terrifying and often dangerous encounters with this family whose lives are filled with tragedy and remorse. Will Walt prevail or will he succumb to the evil curse that has plagued this troubled family for four generations?

Well, they used to be cops, one Salt is,a 76 year old PI who can into the strangest situations. This time it's with a Poe effect with a Raven leading the way and as an added bonus...there are even pictures showing specific high points in the story. I love the characters, the writing is easy, breezy with a lot of humor thrown in along the way. There is also a reference or two about an early days of TV series that made my day, thought I was the only one that remembered The Life Of Riley starring brilliant screen actor William Bendix. This is a short, funny an highly entertaining read.

I have been a fan of Robert Thornhill for many years now and I am always eager and happy to read one of his books. They usually move at a quick pace and often reflect what is going on in the world. In this installment Walt solves the cases with the help of books by Edgar Allen Poe since they seem to be reflecting off what is going on. There was lots of mystery, a drawn out incest case and of course hunting for treasure, and danger at every turn. Very entertaining read, can't wait to see what will happen next to Walt and the gang.

Science fiction ? Close. I read a bunch of the Lady Justice and this is a good one. They are all good. But this is a bit out of the ordinary, because of... the raven! Read it, you will not be disappointed.

Walt and his gang are in the middle of what's happening in Kansas city! Coincidence, fate or just plain dumb luck Walt and his crew are going to be in the middle of whatever is happening. This one is a little Poe - etic.....I'm sure you will enjoy the read.

Raven always think of Edgar Allen Poe and the poem Raven. From a box with a false box comes another intriguing plot of what they find. Good plot and good audio narration. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

The style is rather simple and it's quite short but I got it for free and was happy enough to read it. No serious defective story, more like comedy and entertainment.
