Beverly Ovalle dabbled with writing on and off for years when her best friend finally dared her to submit a story to a writing contest. Beverly decided she had nothing to lose and since she’d always wanted to be an author sent it in and agonized for months waiting to hear back. Contract in hand she has never looked back.

Beverly has been obsessed with dragons and romance since she was a young girl, collecting dragon books and reading everything she could find on them even down to the care of real life dragons. She’s always been slightly panicked that the world as we know it will end, so has prepped for it, haunting survivalist pages and prepper projects she felt she needed in the event SHTF.

An avid fan of all romance, Beverly’s goal is to share her love of the written word and write the hot and erotic romances that she enjoys. She writes what she loves to read and it was only a matter of time before her obsessions crept into her writing for her to share. She hopes you enjoy her tales as much as she loves writing them.

A Navy Veteran, Beverly has traveled around the world and the United States enabling her to bring her settings to life. Reading romances since the fourth grade she’s followed as the genre changed and spread into the vast cornucopia of romance offered today.

    TOUCHED BY THE SANDMAN pulls you in from the first line and keeps you hot and expectant throughout the story. Though this book is short enough to be read on your lunch hour, you might want to choose some place more private than the break room.

    Although this book had glaring word redundancy that drives me nuts, the story was well written. I enjoyed the quick read from a fellow Boroughs author and look forward to more from her.

    There was more to life than the eye could see, right? So, somehow this had to be real. She had faith. She believed. He had never even expected to find her. He never thought that his dreams would come true. Oh Mister Sa-a-andman, bring me a dream!! Sung in my best 'Marilyn "Happy Birthday" Monroe voice! (Be thankful I didn't really sing that! LOL) WHEW! I have had hot dreams, I mean, who hasn't, right? But NEVER have they been about The Sandman nor have they ever been THIS ama-sand-ly, THIS sanderful, THIS so sandtabulously PERFECT!! This is Aryne & Alainn's story and it is SOOOO hot I am surprised they didn't make glass!! (when sand is heated to extreme temps it forms glass - Sweet Home Alabama was good for more than just Patrick & Josh, you know! LOL) But I digress! This is one helluva story! A shorter, HOT love story with The Sandman is unique in itself, but the rich history & 'powers' of his people turn this story from a 'random' erotic short into a story that IS a story! Of course, as always, I do wish this story was longer, but it might have melted my poor tablet if it was! It is written so beautifully and with that magic that both pulls you into the story and connects you to the characters - real or dream. I would love to see this story expanded into a longer novella or full length story that would be the perfect book to kick off a series involving Aryne's families...too start! hint hint, Beverly :-) Regardless if my dreams do come true or not, this is one SANDTASTIC story that everyone should read!

    Looking for something to get your imagination going, then this will do the trick. Its a quick steamy read that I wished had a bit more to it but definitely worth the read . I like the idea of having soul mates (bondmates) that transcend not only time, but worlds and dimensions.

    Another shorty and gifted for an honest review. If only all the sexy men we dream off could be so real, we'd all be very happy women in this world. :)

    This is about a dreamed man, by a lonely daydreamer Alainn. Her dream lover is Aryne, also know as the Sandman or dream weaver, who soothes those who need in his travels. He forms this connection to Alainn, believing them to be bondmates/soulmates due to their growing relationship.

    No longer just in her dreams, he is very real as he soothes her, comforts her and eventually makes love to her. Alainn is not allowed to touch him through his initial fear and hers, in the possibility he is not real. Aryne knows he has to find a way to bring her to his world and seeks approval from his parents. He learns more about the bonding and bringing of mates, as his father had with his mother.

    Reading this story you see from each perspective, their love for each other, their fears and wanting it to be real and forever. There is a connection that appears to have been from each others childhood, with references to Alainn's dreams and her own early childhood full of daydreams.

    This was a lovely romantic, magic filled love story, of two souls destined to be. They completed each other with so much emotion as they each moved to their eventual 'live' connection. Alainn only needed to believe and then Aryne was at her side, to touch and hold forever.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely short story with one more to add to my collection to enjoy. :)

    The sandman visits those that need him, assisting them to sleep. Until one night he meets a woman that he cannot help but return to time after time.
    She is lonely. He comes to her as she drifts off to sleep, the man of her dreams. Awake or asleep, which is her reality?
    He knows she is the one meant for him. He will find a way to make both of their dreams come true.

    very short story and fast read. well written. I really enjoyed this book. when i seen sandman before reading blurb now I can happy say i like this sandman.. most people like me think sandman is killer all that from movie's lol. I love your kind of sandman!! This book HOT! HOT!! only if we all can make dream man come true like that.. and love the book cover too!!
