Ron Glick (born January 20, 1969) is a community activist, and has been active in several charitable enterprises. He was born in Plainville, KS. After living in various states, he currently lives in Kalispell, MT. He is the author of The Godslayer Cycle, Chaos Rising, the Oz-Wonderland series, and Ron El's Comic Book Trivia, as well as having written a screenplay adaptation of The Wizard In Wonderland. Additionally, he created the Golden Age Preservation Project as a means of making Golden Age comics more accessible to modern audiences. His expose, U.S. Political Prisoner Since 2004, broke him away from his fictional works to shed light upon political corruption in Kalispell and Flathead County, Montana.

    These fan-fiction style Oz books keep impressing me due to the quality of writing and amazing story-lines that rival some of the originals!
    There are many spelling errors and typos throughout but it didn't detract from my enjoyment. Though with a good editor this would be even better though.

    The premise is that the Wizard has gone missing from Oz (This is very much like Baum's Oz and takes place shortly after Book 6:The Emerald City of Oz, as far as I can tell.)
    With the Wizard gone, Glinda and Ozma suspect that he has betrayed them and they tell Dorothy the story of how he kidnapped her and gave her to Mombi as a child.
    Dorothy can't believe her old friend would betray her and goes to find him via Magic Belt and ultimately ends up in Wonderland.
    Meanwhile, Alice gets to Oz and joins Glinda on a mission to find a witch who has risen to power in the Munchkin Country.

    The writing style really makes you feel almost as if you are reading an Oz book written by Baum and the way Alice acts is very much as she was portrayed in Wonderland.

    My main issue with the book was that Dorothy has grown up in this story (as has Alice) and there are a few other things that prevent it from being canon Oz.
    But taken as it is it is a fun read and a page turner. I found myself often unable to put the book down and I look forward to reading book 2.

    Enjoyed this through my Amazon Kindle.The style is like the original Oz books. I enjoyed the references of other characters from the Oz books [and not just the ones most are familiar with from film]. Ron has weaved a wonderful plot in this story. If you are an Oz or Wonderland fan or just enjoy a good book, this is a wonderful read.Dorothy and Alice have their own distinct personalities in this adventure. I enjoyed the interaction of the heroines. Looking forward to the next one. I am a Glick fan now. I plan to try his other books as well. Thanks Ron!

    The story was fascinating and well thought out. Unfortunately it ends abruptly without even an interim resolution. I do not choose to read series books that do this. Each novel in a series should come to some conclusion. I don't intend to buy the sequels since I can't be sure I'll ever be satisfied at any point along the way.

    This book combines the classic works of both Carrol's Alice in Wonderland and Baum's 14 Oz book series then creating an entirely new story about one adventure after another while the Heroines Alice, Dorothy and Ozma are trying to save both Wonderland and Oz from destruction and possible extinction.
    The story begins with Ozma sending Dorothy away to an unknown world of Oxford and then Wonderland in search of the missing Wizard of Oz. Dorothy meets Alice along the way. Alice winds up in Oz by mistake and helps Ozma and Glinda as Oz is being threatened by the possible return of the Wicked Witch of the West or the East.
    This is a wonderful book especially for anyone for who is a fan of Wonderland, Oz or both.

    I have to admit as soon as I read the blurb my curiosity was uncontrollable. I hadn't read either classic since second grade and it brought back so many of the memories I'd forgotten. Sure, I love the movies, but they're never quite as entertaining as some of the first stories you ever read.

    The author does a marvelous job in staying true to both series as he brings them together in an unexpected way. Each point of view for the two main characters is written in a style similar to the originals, which I found to be unique and fun. As a writer, I can tell you how hard it is to maintain a single voice, but to do two different styles is way beyond cool.

    This is a book I highly recommend whether you've read the Oz and Wonderland books or not. I must warn you, it incorporates the entirety of the Oz series so there are some spoilers if you haven't read them.

    The Wizard is in Wonderland, Alice is in Oxford and Dorothy visits both in an effort to figure out what's happening to the magical items (not to mention the people) in Oz.
    Mashups can be annoying and just not well done, but Glick has done both Carroll and Baum justice in this first installation of the series. He's even gotten the language quirks right!
    Very refreshing to see an author do some research for a change, thanks!
