5 Stars from a Reader Like You! Check them out on Amazon.Deborah Camp has done it again . . . added another fascinating book to her long list of entertaining reads. THROUGH HIS EYES is a romantic suspense chock full of both . . . steamy, titillating romance and edge of your seat suspense.

I loved the paranormal twist with psychics Trudy Tucker and Levi Wolfe. Trudy has the ability to see and feel the horrific acts committed by murderers. Levi can speak to the victims, chronicling the last hours, even minutes, of their life. They team up to end the gruesome spree of a serial killer in the Florida Keys. Along the way, they realize their connection is much more than shared psychic abilities as their hearts and bodies entwine as tightly as their minds.

Some of the scenes viewed by Trudy are graphic. I typically don't like extreme violence but these scenes are necessary to fully translate the villain's evil intentions. While at times intense, the balance is restored with witty banter and sexy encounters between Levi and Trudy.

THROUGH HIS EYES is a well written thriller with a healthy dose of romance. It should be on the "must read" list of every romantic suspense reader but more than that, anyone who enjoys a good crime novel or action thriller will definitely want to consider this novel for their library. At 100k words, it's lengthier than most formula books of this genre but is filled with meat, not fluff. A very good read!

From the Author

I hope you enjoy "Through His Eyes" and I hope you love all of the books in the Mind's Eye series. I love writing about Levi and Trudy, two psychic detectives who are passionate about what they do and about each other.

Deborah Camp absolutely outdid herself with her latest book. Trudy Tucker, the female lead, was a fascinating character. Although she seemed a bit quirky at first, I was so thrilled and awed by her psychic ability to "see" through the eyes of a serial killer as he chose, captured and murdered his victims. I'd be a bit quirky too!

Trudy has studied under Quintara, a larger than life psychic tutor and is learning how to harness her frightening visions into something good by aiding the police to identify the killer through her visions. She joins Levi "Leviticus" Wolfe, another psychic who experiences the same murders, but through the eyes of the victim.

Although their psychic abilities intertwine very well, it's a bit of fire and ice in the beginning. Their styles are so incredibly different. Quirky Trudy in her RV with her dog Mouse seems shy and a bit afraid of her powers, while Levi is well-known worldwide as a debonair, over-the-top psychic with the ability to self promote both his skills in clairvoyance and womanizing.

Of course, it doesn't take long before the attraction between Levi and Trudy leads to them becoming even more intertwined with each other. I personally love serial killer books, although I don't read a lot of romantic suspense. This book was perfectly balanced -- the crime scenes were graphic, but just right! The love scenes were equally graphic, but also quite all right!

As the book progresses, you not only see a deep relationship building, you also see deep, dark secrets, especially in Levi's past that aren't detailed. Thank goodness this is number one in a trilogy, I can't wait for the next book.

The best part of the book is the smooth, clever writing style. The scenes are clear, the dialogue crisp and sharp, and because Ms. Camp is such an accomplished writer, you never have to pause or go back to figure out what's happening or who's talking.

Fans of Chelsea Cain, J. D. Robb and Lisa Gardner should definitely read this book.

I love books that feature psychics, so when I read a review on the latest of the books in this series, I decided to start with the first one. And I am extremely glad I took the plunge into these books.

Trudy Tucker is an extremely talented psychic who is able to go into the minds of criminals, and see through their eyes the crimes they commit-murders, kidnapping, that kind of thing. It’s hard on her emotionally, but she still has started consulting with police departments and private individuals. Her mentor and friend is Quintara, a psychic of sorts-not near as talented as Trudy, but she does run classes to teach psychics, and has a successful career as a writer in the psychic community. When Quintera reaches out to Trudy to come to Florida to help with a serial killer case, Trudy goes. Also on the case is ultra famous psychic, Levi Wolfe, someone that Trudy is completely attracted to, even though he is a known womanizer. What she doesn’t know is that the attraction is mutual.

The serial killer is targeting women in the Key West area, so Trudy drives her RV from Oklahoma to a rundown RV park near Key West. She pretty much immediately sees the ghost of the wife of the owner, Ethel-a new talent. Ethel is trying to tell her something, but Trudy can’t hear her. This continues to happen throughout the read. Once Trudy and Levi start working together, the investigation ramps up. Also part of the action is police detective, Tom Sinclair, the detective on the the case. And that’s all I am going to say about the actual story.

Levi’s character was probably my favorite part of the read. He’s devastatingly handsome, rich-as in mega rich-and he has had a horrible life growing up. He was the most complex character of this read, and I think there is way more to find out about him in future books. I liked Trudy as well, she is still coming into many of her talents and actually is probably more talented than Levi and Quintara combined. She leads a simple life, with little money, and has a little dog named, Mouse. I mention the dog because at times Trudy is gone all day in the Florida heat, leaving the dog in the RV. No mention of air conditioning, only about how decrepit the RV is, so it bothered me. Just a minor plot hole, but it kept happening, so I noticed. Not to mention, not taking the dog outside regularly! Yes, I am an animal person. Can’t help it.

This story is full of paranormal suspense, but what is more important in this story is the romance between Trudy and Levi. The romance is nicely drawn by the author, and is hot with extremely vivid sensual scenes, to say the least. It wasn’t insta-love as the two has known each other for awhile; this is just the first time they have spent any real time together. Levi, and all his residual hangups, and his previous refusal to have a monogamous relationship, are all tested in this installment, much to Trudy’s and this readers delight.

You could quit reading, but the relationship continues in each book and there is a different case in each book

What an exciting book where two psychics with different talents come together to solve serial murders. There's not only the suspense of the mystery but there is the sexual tension between the two psychics . A great read. Can't wait for the next book.

Levi Wolfe and Trudy Tucker are psychics, he can channel the dead victims and she can tap into the mind of a killer. Together, they partner to find the sadistic killer of young women..
It was a good read, I liked the paranormal aspect of seeing through the killers eyes and communicating with the spirits. There was some real nasty insights to the murders, (so be warned), but...yes, unfortunately there is a but. I felt the storyline was completely commanded by the 'leads' romance. There's page after page of sex, not that I've got anything against that, but it did hold back the grizzly, intense stuff. And there wasn't that much mystery to the book either, (except, maybe the male lead character).
So, overall, I think it lacked true intensity for a violent suspense, and unfortunately ended on a 'you'll have to read the next book', for a continuing story. It was enjoyable though and I found it free.
