- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2024Aja’s uncanny ability to weave, love, mystery and thrills is absolute PERFECTION!!!! I’ve read the entire soul ties series and just cannot put my device. Her storytelling gift is poetic and stellar. She along with a dozen more black authors are magnificent at their craft and I look forward to reading all they have. This series in particular is breathtaking. Keeps you wondering how deep the gifts of the characters go and how their gifts effects their lives good or bad. The stories keeps you at the edge of your seat and allows you the opportunity to have self reflection and looking at life from different perspectives. I think that is what makes books that more special. It’s not only entertaining but for some helpful! Keep up the fantastic work Aja!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2019Zola and Khalil are the perfect professional, and romantic match. They are two single talented souls destined to be together, except they're not so sure of the odds of any of that happening. Not at first. It seems sudden, a little too straightforward. Maybe a bit too good to be true? But luck has definitely shined on these two. Their path to love is a slow awakening to the twists and turns that underpin the surety of their love, and their unique soulful connection. The reader is sucked in from the 'get-go', enjoying the 'stumbling-upon' podcast banter, the immediacy of the romantic connection with the synchronicity that follows; all underpinned by some hot sexual chemistry. Aja delivers again is all I have to say. 'She's Got Soul' is an unswerving 'getting-to-know' sexy romance, a novel with fully fleshed out characters, rich in backstory and a shifting plot to suit, a plot which keeps the reader's interest and enjoyment piqued throughout. A very cool read! Another soulful installment from a writer who tells it from the heart.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2024Imagine thinking your differences meant that you were incompatible...just to find out that that is the attraction. Nothing new here, this story is like that. It was a long short story, it took a moment to get into it, but worth reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2024It was a great read. I noticed a few changes in the description of the Zola character midway through the story. However other than that I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading book 2.😊

- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2025I enjoyed this cute love story! Zola finally admitted she didn’t want to be a single woman but that she wanted companionship…..and here comes Khalil Berry! Her soul mate!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2025I didn't expect to get sucked into this story so quickly. I enjoyed the characters and the journey they were on.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2024Cute. Flirty. Short. Fun.
I felt like it should've been longer and more info about their time together or after the wedding. I'm grateful for a HEA though. First time reading this author but won't be my last.

4.0 out of 5 stars A feel good short read
The story was simple, but I still loved it. It progressed in a very realistic way. The two main characters are mature, so no petty drama in this book. I did which there was more drama however. I love how the author writes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read 3.5 stars
The book was an enjoyable read. The two times they “argued “ were Zola’s fault in my mind. How can she be upset he didn’t lead with I’m a multimillionaire? That would have been really conceited and he’s a man first before the money. She didn’t want to say where she worked either. On top of that he took her to a million dollar home so clearly he is wealthy and not hiding it. The thing about the dead air after the I love you, she was wrong. She should have called him back as she was the one who didn’t answer. If she’s such a secure woman she shouldn’t have any problems with doing that. The book was about them but I miss seeing them in a public setting, interacting with friends and family, having to deal with couple’s issues before jumping into marriage.
