Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis as well as part of the year in Bradenton, Florida, USA. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. It’s been a while since I had read Aleatha’s books. When I had read the blurb for this novella, I couldn’t wait to try it. I was a big fan of her Consequence series and I was intrigued to try something different from the romantic suspense books that I had known her for. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But let me tell you that this book didn’t disappoint! Unforgettable was the perfect quick and steamy romance that I needed. I loved the chemistry between these characters and wished we would’ve gotten more of their story. This novella just left me wanting more!

    Aleatha Romig definitely packed a punch with this story. It is slightly out of my comfort zone but nothing to outside that it made me squirm or not finish it. Truly it just had my mind working overtime….lol :)

    This book does focus on BDSM, so if that isn’t your cup of tea, then this story isn’t for you. But if you have a couple hours to spare and like stepping outside of a normal romance book, a story that tests your boundaries, then this is the book to read!!!

    Even though this is a novella and won’t take long to read, it was missing nothing. Aleatha gave us a steamy love story that will rock your socks. She gave us a cute little girl, who will melt your heart, a little betrayal, and a steamy romance between two people who need to open themselves up to new possibilities. You will get all the same feels you would come to expect from an Aleatha Romig story.

    This is the third book in this series, but each book can be read as a standalone. Each book is about a new couple and there aren’t any reoccurring characters, so you won’t be lost if you read these books out of order. They are truly meant to show how couples navigate through testing new boundaries. This story is told in Dual POV and has a great ending!!!

    In this story we follow Marji and Lucas’s story. Lucas is a single father of an adorable 4 year old girl, Callie. After losing his wife in an accident, he kind of shut himself off from everything, even the kinky world of D/s What happens when he steps back into that world and meets a mysterious woman, who actually turns his head?? Marji is the assistant to Dr. Kizer a couple therapist. After years of dictating the doctor’s notes about the unconventional help she provides, Marji is looking to expand her horizons and venture into this new world. What happens when she is swept off her feet by “Mr. Santana”? Can these two find a HEA both in this different world and the outside world?? Read this story to find out.

    I would recommend this book to everyone who loves BDSM or a novel that will take you into a different reading experience than you normally read. If you are a fan of Aleatha’s work then you need to read this little gem ;)

    I liked how Aleatha explored the desires of these characters in a trusting environment with someone they could trust. It helped ease and eliminate the concerns regarding sex with strangers.

    The third book is a little different from the first two because, for instance, here we don’t have a married couple. We have a single father who lost his wife and isn’t sure if his Dom nature is still intact and a woman who wants to try something more. They both meet in this private club and start to connect. So you can expect a very fast romance, not quite a love at first sight, but almost. Also, the secret identity because in this club people wear masks. It’s as hot as the two previous ones and as delightful.

I wondered what would happen when Marji’s employer found out about how she had gone to the club with a plagiarized note, but this was never addressed. Also, there should have been a consequence for Dorothy's actions, instead of just saying she left to go somewhere else. Other than this, it was an interesting short story.
