From a multi-million-copy bestselling author comes a fast-paced novel that serves up a double dose of nail-biting, chilling suspense, twists, and shocking revelations!

Welcome to the Blackwood House. Enter if you dare.

There're rumors about this house in Savannah that all who have ever lived there have gone insane.

When Kimberly and Joseph inherit the house from an unknown aunt, they don’t know its murderous history.

They move in, and soon a series of strange events occur.

Little by little, Joseph starts to change, and soon Kimberly begins to wonder: is the house haunted, or is her husband just going mad?

Detective Jack Ryder and Shannon King have run away from the press and paparazzi to Savannah to get married.

They are preparing for their wedding when they stumble upon a young girl sitting alone on the docks at the harbor at night. She doesn’t seem to have any parents, nor does she know where she lives. Her feet are bare, and she has nowhere to go.

They take her in for the night, but as they try to pull out information from her, bizarre stories are revealed, and soon they start to speculate about the girl.

Is she telling the truth or hiding unsettling secrets of her own?

With Shannon and Jacks' wedding coming up at the end of the week, there wasn't much time for anything else but the planning and the waiting. Both were excited and couldn't hardly wait. So Shannon was a bit upset with Jack when he insisted on checking about a child they noticed sitting on the dock watching the water. She had bare feet and looked a bit pale. She spoke with Jack and told him the lie that she was awaiting her doctor friend to be coming back to get her and go back home. Jack, being a detective knew a lie when he heard one. So they took the girl back to the rented house in Savannah. And now the mystery begins.

A truly roller-coaster ride of a story, set in Savannah, where Shannon and Jack have rented a home in order to be married there. All hell breaks loose when Jack finds a small girl sitting looking at the ocean that she says she has never seen. This leads to their taking in the girl which leads to dire consequences. But, eventually, all is solved, Jack and Shannon are married, Emily is placed in rehab for her eating disorder.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! I love Willow Rose. She is one consistently fantastic author. I've read over 20 of her books and can't wait to read more. I love all of her signature characters but Jack Ryder has jumped to the top of my favorites list. I have now read all four Jack Ryder books and have loved each and every one of them. Books 1 to 3 I gave five stars because that all I could give but I would have given them all 10 stars they were that good. However, Black Jack would have received 20 stars if that were possible. This book was so good I just couldn't put it down and was heartbroken that it ended. I just wanted to continue and continue. The good news is that there will probably be more Jack Ryder books and I can't wait. If there is any reader out there who hasn't read any of Willow Rose's books, read one now and you will be hooked for life and will crave more and more. Thank you Willow Rose for making reading a wonderful experience thanks to your great storytelling. Keep those books coming and coming.

Is Jack Ryder the most unobservant detective ever? I'm sorry but it's hard for me to believe anyone would have a child kidnapped 3 times? First Shannon loses Angela, then Jack loses Austin, now they lose Tyler together. After the first time, you would think you would be constantly in fear, and never turn your back on any of your children. Then there is Jack's blindness to Emily's illness.

As for the plot with Betsy Sue, it was really good. Adding in the possibility of ghost and haunted houses, a bit hokey but I am into that stuff so I liked it. The family twist at the end was a bit of a bummer.

This is a story of terror as infants are kidnapped in old Savannah. Jack and his fiancé have come to Savannah for their wedding, and are drawn into the problem when they find a lone girl sitting on the docks late at night. The many characters are unique and developed through flashbacks for individual families. The feeling of dread is overwhelming as the various threads come together. The book is a quick read, but increases in suspense up to the end.

Even the bad ones made the story interesting and made it very hard to put the book down. Any fan of horror or just well written books will like this one.

This book deserves more than five stars . As usual, Willow Rose knocked this one out of the park. Her characters were spot on, well developed, very believable with an awesome story to back them up.
I usually have no problems figuring out who the “bad guy” is; but I had a difficult time with this story, Ms. Rose had me guessing until almost the end. And to me that’s a number one author that can keep the reader from figuring out who the protagonist is till almost the end of the story.
I totally recommend this book and can’t wait to get the next one in the series. I know you will enjoy these books as much as I did.

A bad house or a bad family? What lies in store for the houses occupants that has a murderous history? Does the house really change people for the worse or does it just bring out their deepest fantasies?
Babies go missing and turn up dead years later until one Betty-Sue escapes when it's her turn. Suddenly the events begin to unfold and cop Jack Ryder and his soon to be wife are drawn into the chaos when their son, only months old
Disappears right under his mother's nose.....

I found this book really interesting and captivating. I haven't read the previous books in the series, it can be read as a standalone I think. Writing is good and flows extremely well.
