About the Author

I've always loved the combination of romance and suspense. Having just one or the other doesn't do it for me. Almost all of my twenty-eight books and five novellas twist both of those elements together, because nothing complements falling in love better than being hunted down, right?

My goal as a writer is to create books that make people feel good. My characters come with baggage, past hurts, and vulnerabilities. They go through hell, find love, and at the end, find peace in who they are and everything they've gone through. And isn't that what we all want?

Soul-changing second chances play the catalyst for the first three books in my Love & Light Collection: Until I Die Again, Stranger in the Mirror, and Woke Up Dead. Psychic connections play into Unforgivable and Touched by Lightning. The question of where our souls go when we're in a coma kicks off What She Doesn't Know.

I jumped into the paranormal with both feet in the Offspring series (Avon Books), an X-Files meets LOST mix with lots of action and romance, changing my name to Jaime Rush (jaimerush.com] to distinguish them.     For the authors info, there is over use of the phrase boo-coops....along with it being misused and misspelled.
    I also wish that when the author changes scenes, there was a heads up or light segue. I was left having to back up to make sure I wasn't mistaken.

    A few things that i am not liking about how this book is written. Numero uno - the first part of the book was about the SEAL team and whole chapters (chapters 3-6) dedicated to each member of the team. Which i find was not necessary as they were not the main characters in this particular book. It was a "good to know but damn i don't need to waste my time" reading it kinda thing.

    Secondly - Risk, though he sounded like one hell of a hot guy, did not seem to be that capable since he lost his ward, Addie, twice and landed himself in deep s**t later. Addie's father, the general, was one cool dude though. He did not have a "stick up his ar** reaction" about his daughter and her bodyguard sleeping together. Or the fact that Risk was doing a not too stellar job of protecting his daughter. At this point, let me make myself clear...i still think Risk is pretty hot. And adorable.

    Finally, i have had to rescramble by thought processes throughout the book cos some of the scenes just did not flow well together. There will be scenes around the illegal hunters, for example, for a few paragraphs and suddenly, the next paragraph was an entirely different scene with other characters. My money is on the author probably trying to test my power of deduction.

This book was a refreshing escape from the troubles of pandemic and enforced social isolation. Like a visit from good friends, it was an afternoon well spent and brought a smile to my face. Pick up Wild On You and settle in on the couch in front of the fireplace with the hot beverage of your choice. You will love the interlude, I guarantee it!
