Enchanted Fate: A Journey Through Time.

The main character, Star, is very relatable and as a young woman, has much to learn which her travel into time teaches her. She is shown much love from those she doesn't even really know. This is a page-turner and has many lessons about God's love throughout its pages. The love of God shines from every page. Highly recommended.

Crystal Mary Lindsey grew up in the state of New South Wales, Australia the second youngest of five children in a medical family. The mother of four adult Christian children, she is the grandmother to ten and great-grandmother to one. Crystal married a retired U.S. Marine living and working in Tennessee for three years. She worked firstly as a volunteer counselor and later as a specialist registered nurse. Crystal and her husband Raymond currently live in the sub-Tropics of Queensland, Australia. Crystal likes to inspire and encourage others to never give up on their dreams, and with this in mind, her books are spiritually uplifting. Her Professional background: R.N. B.N. (Aus) B.S.N. Crystal Mary Lindsey is a retired healthcare professional, widow of Raymond, a Vietnam Veteran and past U.S. Marine. She is also a mother, and devoted grandmother.

She discovered her passion for writing following her retirement from the demanding world of hospitals.

Her hobbies include art, reading, gardening, and research, plus touching lives for Jesus whenever possible.

Her profound appreciation for the transformative power of reading ignited the spark that led her to embark on a writing journey. She has an unwavering goal to encourage and inspire her readers to a more contented state of mind.

    I loved the plot of "Mystery Nightmare Journey Across Time" written by Crystal Mary Lindsey. The main story is about a girl just turning 18 who's very self-centered until she's comatose following an accident. Throughout her comatose condition, she travels two hundred years in the past to the days of covered wagons. In that time, she learns to appreciate her faith in God and the lessons her elders have tried to teach her about maturity and responsibility. Another accident in that time thrusts her back to the present, where her parents, grandfather, and her handsome neurosurgeon have anxiously awaited her reawakening.

    As much as I loved the idea of this story, I wouldn't be leaving a completely honest review if I didn't mention the few issues I had with this book, thereby my 4-star rating as opposed to five stars.

    First, I don't overly object to insta-love stories. However, after what her father believes is a brief single meeting between Star and Blaine, he nearly has her marrying the guy. Most fathers I know would not be too happy about a doctor in his mid-twenties hitting on his barely legal daughter, especially after having just met her! After the third brief interaction (second as far as her father knows) and the receipt of a single gift (despite her plans for college and denial that very night to her father) Star does a whiplashing 180 about how she feels. And then, almost immediately upon waking up, she asks Blaine how soon they can be married... and her parents are fully supportive. Those events felt really rushed. I think more interaction between the two before those pivotal realizations could've greatly enhanced the overall story and how it flowed. There were also some mostly minor editing issues but another round of proofreading could easily correct those (the most noticeable one being the change between Belle and Bella. Most of the time it was Belle, but there were a few places where Star's best friend in the 1700s was Bella).

    When all is said and done, though, this is a book I'd reread and would recommend.
