Ann Whitaker lives in the heart of Texas with her journalist husband and their adopted poochon, Jackson. She's been writing in one form or another all her life. A reformed high school and college English teacher, she's published poetry, non-fiction, and short fiction in newspapers, literary journals, and magazines. Her fictional characters are often larger than life and sometimes find themselves in absurd situations. Ann's stories almost always have a dog.
Her first novel, Dog Nanny, was a 2008 finalist in the Linda Howard Award of Excellence contest and dubbed a “near perfect book” by Coffee Time Romance & More. When not writing, Ann reads, teaches Jackson new tricks, sings, paints, and plays the guitar.

Having already read and enjoyed one of these books (Lynn Reynold's romantic caper, Love Capri Style) I thought I'd give the other two books a try. I really liked the Dog Nanny by Ann Whitaker which was engaging and fun. I struggled with A Catered Romance by Cara Marsi, which seemed to repeat its main theme (girl cannot trust boy because of decade old betrayal that -- spoiler -- may have not actually been his fault).

I didn't like the way this was formatted for my Kindle in that I couldn't navigate from one book to the next or from chapter to chapter using a table of contents. I have an older model Kindle, so maybe that's just me, but it was annoying.
