    Read with KU. I was hoping to get this couple's story after getting a glimpse of them in the previous novel, and I've got to say, it did not disappoint. I think this is my favorite of The Controllers books/couples. Maybe because Lucian wasn't a controller, it allowed a much subtler approach to his domination over Madelyn. He was still ever the Omegaverse Alpha, but there was something a little more relatable and playful about him (and not in the psychotic way Ryker was "playful" lol).

    My only complaint is that I wish we got to know more about what it meant for her to be a muted omega, and what it's like for her now that she has revealed as gifted. I also would have loved to see more about what is happening with her brother now as well. I'm hoping this series isn't over with book 8 and maybe we can get another book following up with these characters. I'm sure there will be tid bits in the next 2 books. But, I'm a bit on the fence about book 7 since neither MMF or MPreg are my particular cup of tea, and book 8 is more Lily, Ethan and Ryker, and after 3 books of them I'm still a bit emotionally drained from their intensity. I still feel like I need a break from them. But, I digress, I really enjoyed this book, and am hoping to hear more from Madelyn and Lucian (with a side of her brother...Kais' story is begging to be told).

    I’ve read most of this series, and feel somewhere between “this is beyond stupid and boring” to a solid “meh”….Ruthless Control is perfect. My favorite books are the bad guys who stay bad and true to that character yet find love and does this book deliver that just perfectly. You could easily read this as a standalone, you’d have more character recognition and backstories if you read the series, but I’d have personally preferred to skip all the rest and just get this one, so that’s my recommendation.

    I didn’t finish this one. I usually like characters named Lucien, yet this one fell from my mark. I don’t enjoy the coldness of his manipulation and that the FMC lied about being an omega. Also, the MMC’s numerous fantasies about previous sexual escapades was too much like cheating in my opinion and that was a turn off.

    I really enjoy this series and was so happy LVLane decided to add to the series but from the civilian side of the storyline. I loved knowing more about the non-dynamics and other Greek classes, along as the muted omegas. Getting to see another side of the Omegaverse world while still have some cross-over with some of the previous characters that dealt in the military part was genius. I think it have a better work-building aspect to the series. You get to see how the Uncorrupted are influencing all people and all worlds and that they have to be fought even on the homefront. I love the story between Pet and Lucian, how it evolved. Each one of them came into the situation thinking one think thing and expect a certain outcome, but somewhere along the way it changed, as it they, into something greater for both of them.

    Ruthless Control is book 6 in the Controllers Series by L.V. Lane, and boy it doesn't disappoint--Hotness overload!

    Lucian is an Alpha and a ruthless business mogul, who is used to getting to what he wants ...
    Madelyn is a non-dynamic who is at the bottom of the status food chain.
    And when Lucian sees her for the first time, it doesn't matter what she is--he wants her.

    I was very intrigued by Lucian in the Deviant Control books, with his pets and refined manner. I am happy to report that Lucian is everything and more that I expected, even though he is no Ethan, he is a bit of a romantic, which I liked.

    The chemistry between Lucian and Madelyn is off the charts, it's almost a Cinderella story, in the sense that the handsome prince (Lucian) saves the beautiful and feisty servant (Madelyn) from a harsh life, by giving her a way out.

    There is way more to the book than I can put in the review and not spoil the plot for you, but know that this book and series is a must-read for all Dark Omegaverse readers.

    I love all of the books in the controller series, but this one probably the least.
    The other books it was made quite clear that the alphas liked their omegas, and they were possessive but it was clear they still respected them - I feel in this one that the Omega really was nothing but a piece of meat and a complete slave to her body - this one didn’t tickle my fancy, and if I was rating it in comparison to the others in the series I would say 2 stars, but the 4 stars are because it is still a good book and I like the overlap with the other books as well
