This was one of those books that reinforce my personal rule not to put a book aside before reading 50 pages. Our main character here starts out as a not-very-likable woman who is only doing her duty by returning to Ohio because her dad is severely ill and hospitalized. Events in the past have ruined her relationship with her mother, and she cannot wait to leave. This is a story of forgiveness and redemption, one that most of us can relate to on some level. I recommend it highly.
