Rick Cantelli, P.I. (Book 12): Brotherhood of Death (Rick Cantelli, P.I. Series) Kindle Edition

4.8 out of 5 stars 228 ratings

Jim and Ellen step up their game in a deadly dangerous fashion, filling the gap between young and old killers. Training continues with Rick and Lois continuing to integrate the two gifted young operatives into the Madigan/Cantelli Security firm.

The talented teens, writing scripts and starring in movies, ward off and handle dangerous events with an expertise surprising even to their trainers. Kelly’s ex-boyfriend arrives in the city to cause mayhem, but meets Jim instead, while entering the Madigan/Cantelli Brotherhood of Death list.

Nora, the romantic interest of Jim’s character in a new movie, delivers a stunning and erotic flavor to their first love scene together. It builds tension and danger when her fiancé takes a swipe at Jim. Kull, the pit-bull from heaven, plays, guards, and entertains upon command as always, while his human companions handle vagrant camps, Sharia Law Mutants, and killers.

I look forward to all of books written by Bernard De Leo. Sure it is pulp fiction, but it is very well written to hold the reader from one action or emotional event to another. At the same time they are all related together with a great flow of family action.

I am a huge fan of author DeLeo and his series. This book is stand alone movie material. The character are incredibly well written, they bleed, suffer, shoot, and then drink to help them manage another day saving the decent people of California from the invading hordes who are attempting to steal that state from those law abiding citizens. Not for the weak willed, liberal, freedom hating mutants, but ideal for patriots and freedom loving Americans everywhere. Great book Bernie!

Coming to the end of a cantelli adventure is always a bittersweet experience for me. adrenaline pumps from reading the story and said that it's over and I have to wait for the next one. I like all of Bernard DeLeo's stories and characters but I like the Cantelli crew the best. The interplay between Jim and Ellen and Rick and Lo really make the story for me. A lot of laughs I had during this reading and a lot of good action scenes. One thing for sure the New world order people are not going to go away not in the story and not in our reality. So there will always be plenty of story fodder for Mr. DeLeo. Good health to you keep the stories coming. You truly have a blessed talent.

Yes, Jim is collecting followers. Unfortunately, it is playing havoc with his current relationship.

Now, thanks to an unwise decision, Leah is collecting followers. She has attracted the attention of a man who wants to buy her and is willing to pay others to kidnap her.

Rick and Lo are collecting followers when they start cleaning up the tent cities that have sprung up. They also break up a human trafficking and fentanyl smuggling operation resulting in some major arrests.

There is an overload of teen angst offset by some awesome action.

Great continuation of the series. Good to see Jim being featured more and becoming Rick’s successor. The series should be made into a movie or television series yesterday. The only bad part is having to wait for the next adventure.

If you like action, romance, politically incorrect good old-fashioned patriotism, and complicated personal relationships, you will find all these in Brotherhood of Death. Two teenagers coming of age amidst action, love-angst, and human fragility always makes a good read. Add in two oldsters guiding the teenagers into the most deadly game in the world, and you have a typical DeLeo story, which means you have a rollicking good time.
I tend to reread DeLeo’s books over and over. This one will be no exception.

I find that Mr De Leo continues his novels into a new generation by referring to current affairs and adapting them to his plot lines. I enjoy his story telling and from Australia try to refer the events to the novels. I am a long time follower and aficionado of Mr De Leo.
