In my first novel Rebecca's Hope, I introduced a western town in the late 19th century filled with colorful characters and innovative young women of Carrie Town, Texas. Subsequent stories include Emma's Dream, Lois's Risk, Maggie's Strength, Carol's Choice, Garnet's Gift and Maude's Mission..

A Fresh Start for Christmas is book one in a series based in Carrie Town and a new matchmaking venture. Heaven Inspired Matrimonial Matches utilizes a five-point plan based on the story of Isaac and how God used a family servant to locate his bride, Rebekah. Subsequent stories in this series are A Bride for David, Willow's Worth, A Beekeeper for Christmas, Magnolia's Measure, A Bride For Alston, A Baker for Bear and Shoo-fly Pie by Selah.Mathematics teacher Daisy Murphy agrees to participate in a new matchmaking service organized by her pastor and the matron of the orphanage where she has spent the last fifteen years. I enjoy reading about the couples of Carrie Town. Getting to read about the girls from the orphanage who find their happily ever after there is such an added blessing. They're in several different series, which makes the search fun, too.
David and Daisy are a sweet, precious couple who make a home for two darling orphaned children. Reading about the reenactment of the nativity store by the little ones was an extra and delightful bonus.
I do wish there was a master list with the reading order for the books, but I have no complaints for the stories.

Kimberly Grist has done it again, by writing another wonderful book for the proxy bride series. I love the way there is always a good amount of humor interspersed into the book. The Christmas pageant was great! Follow this couple as their relationship and love grows. I highly recommend this wonderful western historical romance and think you will enjoy it as much as I did.

This was an easy read and I liked the fact the chapters weren't long and it was a clean romance. However, I did want to learn more about the characters and wanted more interaction between the characters. And it lacked the spark between the characters. I'm analytical minded so I wanted the characters to share their love of analytics between each other. I believe this book could have been so much more!
