Review

I truly enjoyed this book that I couldn't put it down. Willow (Willy) and Leo were great characters. The whole philosophy of how this mail order bride system was different than what I had read before. So points for originality. I just enjoyed Willow all around. She was independent and yet willing to take instruction. There was a little action that helped set the tone for the last bit of the book. It was well written. This was the first time for me to read anything by Kimberly Grist. I have already downloaded others from the town to catch up on their stories. - Amazon Review

From the Author

In my first novel Rebecca's Hope, I introduced a western town in the late 19th century filled with colorful characters and innovative young women of Carrie Town, Texas. Subsequent stories include Emma's Dream, Lois's Risk, Maggie's Strength, Carol's Choice, Garnet's Gift and Maude's Mission..

A Fresh Start for Christmas is book one in a series based in Carrie Town and a new matchmaking venture. Heaven Inspired Matrimonial Matches utilizes a five-point plan based on the story of Isaac and how God used a family servant to locate his bride, Rebekah. Subsequent stories in this series are A Bride for David, Willow's Worth, A Beekeeper for Christmas, Magnolia's Measure, A Bride For Alston, A Baker for Bear and Shoo-fly Pie by Selah

Even though this is a shorter book, the characters are well-developed and it has a good storyline. I especially enjoyed Willow’s spunkiness to stand up for herself. Good, old-fashioned values along with wonderful family and friends.

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed this story. The narrator was great and brought the story to life. Willow wanted to get away from her family so she decided to be a mail-order bride. Well all sorts of things happen including an accident before she ever gets there. Also
there are some funny things that happens too once she gets there. I think I laughed out loud a time or two. I loved this clean historical romance and I’m always game for mail-order bride books. If this is your kind of books you will certainly enjoy this one.
I received an audiobook from the author but was not required to write a review. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book with a hero and heroine who each had definite ideas about how things should be in a marriage and a home. Can they survive the cupids on the wallpaper and everywhere else? Such a delightful romance which shows that sometimes, true love has to have the kinks worked out of it. Well worth reading.

Willow lived in a Orphan's Home until her grandfather found her. Surprisingly her had been a circus clown. When he died he left her very well off. Not being able to live down being raised as an orphan, she turned to another way to find a husband. This was a good story.

From start to finish, this book played out like a romantic dream come true! It warmed my heart that the hero, Leo and the heroine, Willow, as well as all the supporting cast of characters were delightfully unspoiled and caring. An added bonus was the heroine was so funny, without trying to be. I found myself laughing quite a bit and there was more than one scenario that brought a tear of joy to my eye. I highly recommend this book for people of all ages. Cheers to this gifted author!
