Telegraph operator, Willow Graham, has benefited from a unique lifestyle growing up on her grandfather's ranch. She loves the wide-open countryside, where she rides and trains animals. With her twenty-first birthday approaching, her family pressures her to return to the city and take up the lavish lifestyle her uncle has planned for her. But another option piques her curiosity -a matchmaking agency's recommendation that she begin correspondence with a handsome farmer.
Hardworking, twenty-seven-year-old, Leo Weaver, is a man of many talents. He's helped his father develop a successful farm. Loyal to Carrie town, he volunteers as a deputy sheriff. But handsome and charming, Leo's become the target of several well-meaning ladies in the community who have submitted his name for a new matchmaking venture.

I need and want an outlet, an opportunity to relax and escape to a place where obstacles are met and overcome."
Combining, History, Humor, and Romance with an emphasis on Faith, Friends and Good Clean Fun, Kim's stories are written to remind us how God can use adversity to strengthen us and draw us closer to Him and give us the desires of our heart in ways we may never expect.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2023Even though this is a shorter book, the characters are well-developed and it has a good storyline. I especially enjoyed Willow’s spunkiness to stand up for herself. Good, old-fashioned values along with wonderful family and friends.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2021I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed this story. The narrator was great and brought the story to life. Willow wanted to get away from her family so she decided to be a mail-order bride. Well all sorts of things happen including an accident before she ever gets there. Also
there are some funny things that happens too once she gets there. I think I laughed out loud a time or two. I loved this clean historical romance and I’m always game for mail-order bride books. If this is your kind of books you will certainly enjoy this one.
I received an audiobook from the author but was not required to write a review. All opinions are my own.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020I enjoyed this book with a hero and heroine who each had definite ideas about how things should be in a marriage and a home. Can they survive the cupids on the wallpaper and everywhere else? Such a delightful romance which shows that sometimes, true love has to have the kinks worked out of it. Well worth reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020Willow lived in a Orphan's Home until her grandfather found her. Surprisingly her had been a circus clown. When he died he left her very well off. Not being able to live down being raised as an orphan, she turned to another way to find a husband. This was a good story.

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY WONDERFUL!
From start to finish, this book played out like a romantic dream come true! It warmed my heart that the hero, Leo and the heroine, Willow, as well as all the supporting cast of characters were delightfully unspoiled and caring. An added bonus was the heroine was so funny, without trying to be. I found myself laughing quite a bit and there was more than one scenario that brought a tear of joy to my eye. I highly recommend this book for people of all ages. Cheers to this gifted author!
