- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2013Once again Ms Mac Nicol has struck the right chord between fantasy and romance. An engaging tale of office romance with a twist. I loved every minute. The characters were alluring, the tale intriguing and the love scenes seductive. I couldn't ask for more.

Yet again, Susan Mac Nicol has me! Yes, there isn't much to the book description. But hey, it's a Valentine's Day romance and I'm a sucker for romance. Why I wasn't prepared for what was inside the pages of this book is beyond me. I am going to have to assume from now on when I read a book by Susan, I need to expect HOT steamy love scenes. Even the characters weren't prepared for what she did to them!
Leigh Cross is a twenty-five year old researcher for the law firm of MacMillan, Pope and Smith. Ryan Taylor is a twenty-seven year old attorney at the same law firm. Rounding out the main cast of characters is Gerald Crombie an almost eighteen-year old Cupid in training.
Let's talk about the title of the book for a minute. Confounding Cupid, what the heck does that mean? Well, confound means to cause to become confused or perplexed; to frustrate. Yes, these definitions define Gerald to a "T". Gerald WANTS desperately to receive a full set of wings for his eighteenth birthday. But in order to do that, he must get Leigh and Ryan together in about a week. This shouldn't be a hard to thing to do, since Gerald can see how attracted the two are to each other. The problem is, when Leigh looks at Ryan she has disgust pouring out of her veins.
Confounding Cupid is a tale of mistaken identity and the lengths to which a desperate Cupid will go to in order to get two people together. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2013If you are looking for a short sexy Valentines read with a great storyline then this is the book for you.I loved this story it has a little paranormal hint to it and i loved the concept behind it.
Once again Susan's writing style stands out for me, her words just flow and that is one of the reasons why i love her work.
Gerald is nearly 18 year old he has the job of getting Leigh and Ryan together to earn his wings as he wants to make his father proud. The only trouble is Leigh stopped the budding romance between her and Ryan as she heard something she didn't like about him.So Gerald tries to think of ways to get them together one of them results in a very sexy and hot dream that both Ryan and Leigh have at the same time.Oh was i fanning myself at that scene.
Will Gerald use more underhand tactic's to get this couple together? Will he get his wings?
Is there a HEA for Ryan and Leigh? So many questions need to be answered and how are you going to get those answers yes my friends by reading the book.I loved it and it's well worth the money in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2013Here's a Love Triangle I really enjoyed!
Leigh and Ryan have been targeted by a Cupid - yes, there's a whole gang of them after all!
Cupids work hard in this short story to spread romance and love through the world (Lord knows, we can all use more of that these days).
Gerald, the Cupid in this wonderful romance is motivated to get the job done with these two, and he's got his work cut out for him. A case of mistaken identity has torn the would-be lovers apart, and watching Gerald pullout all the stops to unite Leigh & Ryan had me flipping pages so fast my Kindle almost crashed! Oh, and did I mention the the heat level? The conflict & tension, and the fruits of Gerald's labors heated my device up to scorching.
Another great Lunchbox Romance by Susan Mac Nicol and Borough's Publishing Group.
Treat yourself!
