I enjoy reading and writing Christian historical romances and inspirational commentary, golf, sewing, crocheting, knitting, politics, history, science and mathematics. I attend church regularly, and God is the center of my life. I'm proud of the good job my daughter is doing rearing my three wonderful grandchildren. God and my family make up the inner circle of my life, but I want to reach out with understanding and love to others.

I don’t read a lot of contemporary fiction, but I love Elaine Manders’s books, so read everything she writes. A Pursued Heart was exceptional. The story starts off with a bang and keeps moving. The mystery and intrigue kept me turning pages, and I enjoyed trying to figure out the identity of the villain. The romance aspect moved quickly, but not unrealistically because of the age/maturity of the characters. Ben is a swoon-worthy hero and true gentleman, protective of Rebecca and those around him without being overbearing. I related to Rebecca for many reasons and appreciated her concerns about Ben and getting involved with him. The secondary characters were complex and added to the story. Highly recommended.

A Pursued Heart is a sweeping and captivating story from the prologue through the epilogue. Wow, what an intense story with the suspense and unexpected romance. Rebecca and Ben knew each other from their church singles group, but with unexpected threats against Rebecca Ben intervened in ways that stirred their hearts. I was trying to figure out who was so intent on destroying Rebecca when she honestly had received her new position based on her character.

This Christian contemporary suspense will draw readers in from the start. I look forward to reading more books by Manders in the future. Her stories are filled with picturesque scenes, characters that have flaws but are filled with faith, and an interwoven Christian message.

This short and clean contemporary Christian suspense romance involved a modern day chemist, Rebecca, who just obtained a manager's job in an Atlanta laboratory. She meets Ben at church and learns they work in the same high-rise at different companies. Ben, who just adopted the son of his murdered fiance remained in mourning, however, when Rebecca starts to be harassed and stalked similar to his fiance, he jumps in to help. Without giving more of the story away, it involves team work to solve the mystery, ending in a rather predictable way. A good bedtime read, a bit scary but without all the descriptive gore for those who enjoy this genre.

This is a well written book that hooks you on the first page. It has suspense, drama and romance, and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I loved how the beginning of each chapter had a bible verse, I can't say enough good things about this book. I highly recommend this book. I read it in one setting, couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

I just finished this book and I can't describe how much I enjoyed it. The characters were so realistic. I felt like I knew them. And there was just enough intrigue to keep me on the edge of my seat. The Bible verses at the beginning of each chapter were just right. The way the author wove her Christian beliefs into the story was so inspiring. I highly recommend this book. If you love Christian fiction, then don't miss this one.

Arachnophobia is real! That’s all I will say about that! Intense suspenseful Christian romance. Career woman with a mission to help others has a painful secret. Ben is a single father who has an adopted son.
