- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2024The writer and spiritual coach Christine U Cowin brings us the third and final book in her Secret Self memoirs. This third book is called “My Secret Self Book Three. Death and the Cycles of Life.” It is an interesting book.
In this, the third stage of Christine’s life, she talks about her marriage and being a mom. In the book you see her two boys go from being little kids to functional adults and it’s this growth that is really the most interesting part of the book. It’s worth mentioning that the books build on each other. There are characters introduced in the first two books that appear in the third, and if you start on the third book you’ll be wondering who these people are. I only read the third and final book, and that left me in the dark about quite a bit. I would recommend starting with the first book to see if you Iike it and then movng on.
This is a book that deals with many different themes; parenting, emotional and verbal abuse, death and the grief that comes after. Things can get pretty intense. I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever had trouble in their family life. This is an interesting, intriguing book that everyone will be able to relate to.

Highly recommend this book 5 Stars
This book will encourage the reader to claim freedom, allow their audacious boldness to surface. With perseverance and faith the reader will feel the strength to keep moving forward. The reader will find the determination to keep faith and positive mind set regardless of one's upbringing, trials and setbacks. Regardless of family dynamics and or dysfunctions. This book gives the reader the encouragement to realize life is truly a gift. It will give you the strength to breakout of bondage, to heal and grow in this precious journey of life. A powerful book that shouts inspiration and will remind you of the calling on your life. Pray, give it to God . 5 stars highly recommend
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2024This book details the second phase of Christine’s life. If you have not read the first book, I would suggest that you stop and go and read it. The books should be read in order so that you can grasp all of the various aspects that are going on in Christine’s life. Again, this book had me both laughing and crying. Christine has a beautiful sense of humor even in some of the worst situations that she is going through in her life journey. I had to giggle when she described her job collecting eggs. I also have chickens and the roosters always seem to be in a terrible mood. There is never an enjoyable time to go and get eggs and yes, it is very dirty work. It seems as though Christine’s life mirrors many of our own. For those who have bad pasts, it can sometimes seem as though we run right from one abusive situation and into the next one just in our attempts to break free from the monsters that appear to be chasing us. We seem to always run into the arms of another monster until our eyes are opened. Christine’s story is so heartbreaking that it is sometimes hard to read, only because it is so raw. She does not hold back her feelings about things and that is incredibly refreshing. She tells the story as it is, no matter what anyone thinks about it. I have truly enjoyed reading her works and I think that you will too.
